This is a very crisp old school shoot-em-up bullet hell. I wouldn't say there's anything groundbreaking about the game, but it's a fun playthrough if you like the genre. Tapping for spread fire and holding for focused fire gives a really nice feeling of agency and light tactics. Also, I've got to say the hit boxes feel extremely fair and you get a nice sensation of constantly escaping death by a hair's breadth.2 found this helpful
This game is a blast! The music gets you pumped right away, especially during boss fights, and the bullet patterns are gorgeous with super clear visibility that makes dodging feel amazing. I really like the thoughtful features, like being able to skip the intro or use stage select to practice tricky levels. Those little touches make a big difference. Control mapping was easy to figure out and I love that the option is there, since shmup players usually have their own button setups. It’s definitely a challenge, especially since I only got back into shmups a few months ago, but it’s been so much fun and really rewarding to play. I highly recommend it to any shmup fan!2 found this helpful

The narrative is deliberately sparse, serving mainly as a dramatic backdrop for the nonstop action, but the sense of urgency it creates fits the genre well. Gamma Zero is not here to tell a story — it’s here to test your reflexes, your persistence, and your appetite for bullet-dense chaos. The game offers three playable ships, each tuned to support a distinct style of play. Alpha is quick and nimble, built for players who rely on tight dodging and pixel-perfect movement. Beta strikes a balance between speed and firepower, making it ideal for players still learning the game’s rhythm. Gamma, the powerhouse of the trio, trades agility for destructive coverage, appealing to players who enjoy wide attacks and raw strength. This trio of opt…1 found this helpful
Somehow after many games like this, i only found out through this game that the genre is called 'shmup'
Fun little bullet hell. Nothing groundbreaking but it fits in with arcade bullet hells very well. I think it could use a bit more variety, maybe some more enemies and minibosses, but for what it is I had a good time with it.
