What Steam players say

Players appreciate the trust-based concept at the core of this game but are frustrated by poor execution that undermines the entire premise. The main complaint is that the game frequently removes button options, forcing specific choices and preventing meaningful decision-making, while opponents aren't subject to the same restrictions—creating unfair scenarios that contradict the trust mechanic. Additional issues include repetitiveness, bugs that affect round balance, inability to complete a pacifist strategy, and reused animations and messages that make the experience feel hollow and rushed.
This game somehow manages to suck really bad, despite being a good concept. Its a game about trusting or not trusting the other person, which on its own, has a lot of potential for interesting choices. However, the game also decides that if you press the same button "trust/betray", it just takes the button from you, forcing you to make a specific choice. Not only this, but the opponent does not have this happen to them, leading to situations where you are forced to betray the other person. This, in my opinion, really hurts what the game is going for. Not only that, but it seems buggy with rounds starting off at different pressure and in many cases, you just end up locked into a win/loss depending on your pressure. Decent idea, rushed and poor execution.5 found this helpful
Fun for a round or two but quickly becomes repetitive. This is a game about trust. Someone ties you to a chair and tells you to press one of two buttons. You play with another victim, but you can not tell which button they will press. The harshness of the punishment is determined by the combination of buttons pushed. If you both trust each other, you will be hurt a little, but you will also have a better chance of survival. You can betray and be hurt twice as much. However, if someone decides to betray the other person, they will take no damage, while the opponent would take the maximum amount of damage. If someone crosses the threshold, the chair will kill them. The goal is to get through seven rounds. Although it would be simple to hit the green (cooperate) button every round and win, the game does not allow that and someone has to die. Eventually, you will have to press the red button. The ultimate goal is to survive five opponents. To make things more intriguing, you receive a few objects that change the rules. Such as tape to repair your chair or pliers to change the opponent's choice. If you die, you’ll have to restart with the first opponent. Each next opponent becomes…5 found this helpful
cute <3
Pros - Interesting concept. Could make a good game. Sadly, not the case here. Cons - Easy to beat. Won't let you do a straight pacifist run if you wanted to.
Nice idea but poorly executed & boring af, you have no choices actually since the game removes the buttons from time to time and not much you can do. Also the messages & the death animation is always the same...
