I think it's a nice game. There are some tweaks here and there, but hopefully in time it'll come. Mostly it's a balancing issue - It feels like some of the characters are VASTLY more powerful than other characters, regardless of their difficulty. I get that some completionists may find joy in beating the game with every character, but if you're not one of them it just seems like a bad choice to play any other character than the first character. Giving the player the option to play melee as the second choice is so demotivating when he's so much weaker, and honestly feels quite clunky in the way that he hits. 2nd, and the reason I came here to review.... Don't make a fatality boss move super confusing. When Chaos does his 2nd phase laser attack, the indicators are completely nonsensical, and the visuals are even more confusing. Individual lasers in a circle contracting, then extending, but their entrypoint is from above and down and all of it happens in a blink of an eye and kills you regardless of your hp? Like... Why? You just spent an hour getting to that point to get offed like that when there's literally no chance that you'll survive the first 2-3 encounters with that specific …
more risk of rain
Game is alright. Basically a top down Risk of Rain with less depth. It does a couple interesting things that are its own but overall it just feels meh. The final boss fight is probably the most disappointing aspect of the game. Even when I felt crazy strong he's just a massive damage sponge, and doesn't really have any interesting mechanics. All in all its a fun enough game to play once in a while and I would only get it on sale.

very fun game!
This is by far one of my favorite games to come back to. anytime I don't know what to play i hop on Gatekeeper and i have a good time regardless if I win the run or not. ive been playing 30 hours and still dont have all the acheivments, leading to hard challenges that are self imposed to complete the game. all the characters feel like they have peronality and each kit does have something unique. I either play Hybrid (basic but good) or Mediator (just stack every cures in the game), and both have good playstyles that i am enjoying. I recently unlocked Aegis and the turrets have been DPS kings. No negitives, is a simple game; spawn, kill, loot, repeat. Thank you to the devs for such a wonderful game when im down or cant find something to play.
