A disappointing, unfinished experience Rating: Not Recommended (for now) I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but the state of Genkai Primal Awakening has left me so frustrated that I felt I had to warn others. As a long-time fan of the genre who has played countless card games and roguelikes, I was initially excited about this title due to its mechanics and its clear inspiration from a "certain famous brand." Unfortunately, what I found was a game that is fundamentally unfinished. Technical State & Breaking Bugs: The game is currently in a state that should be considered "Early Access" at best, yet it was released as a full version. The further you progress, the more the experience falls apart: Missing Assets: I encountered numerous cards with no artwork (just white placeholders), no mana costs, and no descriptions. UI Glitches: Attempting to play these "broken" cards often bugs the entire UI. Since the graveyard is positioned right next to the "End Turn" button, cards frequently get stuck on top of the button, making it impossible to click. Game-Breaking Freezes: The engine frequently freezes during turns, causing the "End Turn" button to disappear entirely. This…15 found this helpful
