Genuinely fun to play, and some tig ole bittys
Not fan of helldivers and art is not to my taste, but it's really entertaining for 3-4 hours. 8/10
Fun simple run and gun. Could have been alot more. Defeated final boss 4 times but never got any completion due to game bug.
I will freely say: the little bits of story are pretty nice, infrequent as they are. The character and monster designs are appealing. I like the writing. And the final boss level is pretty cool, mostly. My gripes lie with the gameplay everywhere else. It's repeats of the same missions over and over again, with admittedly a few more new ones being introduced as you continue to progress, but they're generally all one of two camps: "Kill this one tanky enemy/crowd of fodder" or "Hit E once and run away". The exception is the sheep missions, but even those you don't really have to engage with - if the sheep die, you still win. You just get paid out less, I believe. Speaking of the payout, this game has a problem. You will almost certainly have more than enough money to buy literally everything available in the shop at any given time, and there's not a lot to buy in that regard either. Most of the weapons are simply "fun", but not necessarily "good", which is what's needed to beat the levels, so they end up getting relegated to the storage chamber only to ever be looked at in passing. The other thing you get, EXP... does nothing. Or at least not anything I could reasonably measure…
really cool
