Give the People What They Want

[h1]Experienced on the Meta Quest 2[/h1] This is really just a mini-game experience. You basically throw the requested object to the customer. Each level just brings more items they could possibly request. There's pets, instruments, or toys in 3 different environments. You can walk around (free locomotion) and throw them or use teleportation (snap turning also available). You can also change the look of your robot avatar as you unlock the parts. I honestly can't recommend this game. This is 2016 VR maybe. The throwing mechanic is okay, but there's just no depth to the gameplay. I tried to play this game for as long as I could stand it, and apparently, that was only 30 minutes. I had to tap out because I just wasn't having any fun. This is not a good game. It's kind of pointless so I decided to not even bother with a video review. [b]Rate 3/10. Should be free to play. Give the People What They Want is a paid VR game were you are a servant robot that is throwing and catching stuff. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. VR movement is touch pad with snap turn or teleport. You grab the right object, throw it to the person that wants it, then grab the sack of cash they throw back. Looks like you can play this game for a while. You only have 3 different maps to choose from. The only point to play this is to unlock or buy parts to upgrade your avatar looks. Does have in-game tutorial. Has 11 steam achievements. Maybe buy this game on sale, if you like job games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. While it doesn't happen very often, now and again you come across a game that is so truly terrible that it goes through the arse end of bad and come out smelling of roses. 'Give the People What They Want' is one of those games. It's a virtual job style game in which you work in one of 3 jobs, a pet shop, a music shop and a toy shop. You do this to collect giant bags of money to buy parts for yourself (because you are a robot) so you can flex in front of a mirror. Yes, that really is the whole goal of the game, but it is the crazy gameplay that is the star of the show here. It begs you to mess about, you will be throwing cats, dogs, drums and toys all over the place with hysterical results. What blows my mind apart is that I do think the developer has done this deliberately to make the game fun, which is only more credit to them. For the small asking price, I do think it is something worthy of the download even if it is still a terrible game at heart.
