About Glass and Ember

Glass and Ember

On Murano—Venice's island of glass and furnace-light—a disgraced architect arrives to file a cold, technical verdict on a legendary glassblowing complex. But the Fornace Vecchia has burned for three centuries, and its heat has a way of melting professional distance.

Over a two-week festival, three women pull Callum into their own battles over legacy, ambition, and belonging. One pivotal choice will spark a romance route where desire collides with consequence—and where honesty may be the only thing strong enough to hold what matters together.

Meet the Cast

Sienna — The Unbroken Threadhttps://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/4509420/extras/sienna_arguing_art_critic
The last living keeper of her family's filigrana technique, Sienna runs the Fornace Vecchia while hiding a dangerous truth: the "master's" celebrated new works are secretly hers—unsigned, unclaimed, and burning for recognition. Fierce enough to argue down critics and skilled enough to make glass look alive, she dares Callum to see legacy as something carried forward, not disappeared inside.

Odette — The Gilded Inventoryhttps://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/4509420/extras/odette_display_case_millefiori
A French art historian and auction-house appraiser, Odette arrives to catalog a three-century glass collection—only to realize her job may destroy the very history she worships. Elegant, restless, and quietly romantic about objects and their stories, she draws Callum into a conspiracy of preservation that turns protocol into intimacy.

Petra — The Beautiful Fracturehttps://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/4509420/extras/petra_courtyard_shattered_glass_crates
A Berlin provocateur with an engineer's precision and an artist's ruthlessness, Petra creates by breaking—shattering Murano tradition to reveal what's hidden beneath the polish. What begins as technical collaboration becomes a romance built on shared guilt and sharp-edged honesty.

  • Three Love Interests, Three Creative Philosophies: Tradition, destruction, and preservation—each heroine challenges Callum's relationship with creation.
  • Themes of Truth, Legacy, and Reinvention: Names, reputations, and heritage become pressure points as you decide what deserves saving—and what must change to survive.
  • 9 Adult Scenes: Each romance route includes explicit adult scenes across three routes.

Glass and Ember is visual novel about a structural engineer that is assigned to inspect a very old building that is to house an art gallery of blown glass. After a short common route, there is a single choice that leads to one of three heroine routes. The entire novel is AI; every scene and background is an AI animation (there are over 200 in the gallery), the voicework is all AI, the writing AI as well, and to be perfectly honest, it wasn't half bad. To be sure, there are a ton of AI artifacts littered throughout; six fingers, dripping lights, runic-like text, and objects that melt into each other. The narrative and the voice work is often overly passionate (though it sounds realistic, to be sure), the text repeats or contradicts itself at times, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I actually enjoyed it. The story plays out in three different ways, depending on your choice of love interest, and it's coherent; certainly written better than many of the terribly translated visual novels you can find. If you're anti-AI, stay far, far away. If you're like me and not only don't mind AI, but look forward to it realizing its true potential, then I think Glass & Ember is a worthwhile rea…
