Story
Goblet of Mercy is a short interactive dark fantasy tale about your encounter with a woman whose ego is so big she made her own perfect world to contain it.
It began with Halloween, a time when the veil between worlds is thin. Your friend Judy invited you out to a themed party at the local library. A Halloween event, a good friend, a lot of weird books for sale. Judy might have been in a shifty mood, but there was no need to worry.

This is a splendidly creepy, high-quality and polished visual novel perfect for any time of year, but particularly around Halloween. The setting is Aeser, and features characters who appear in the developer's other works. However, Goblet of Mercy is a good place to start because it is self-contained and no previous knowledge of Aeser is required to enjoy it, while still giving hints of a larger picture. The dialogue is well-written, sounds natural, and is amusing at times. The setting and the characters are interesting and intriguing, and I especially loved the unique art style. I had fun trying to get all the different endings and achievements, and consider it time well spent. I did not experience a single bug or any other technical issue. There are multiple save slots and all the other options which one would expect from a VN – and all this for free! Highly recommended.2 found this helpful
Very interesting game. Creepy and heavily choice-based. Playing several times to unlock all the endings is very fun. Only downside? Too short for how good it is! Absolutely recommend. Fun, free, quick and cool as hell.
really well written. the story is good, but the prose is what puts it over the top. multiple endings, choices matter. its pretty macabre, somewhat horrifying. doesnt seem to have ever gained any traction but this game is free and worth your -time-, especially if you like horror, short stories, or choose-your-own-adventure style. wasnt working on steam deck a couple years ago, but the dev seemed to have promptly fixed that so respect all around. good stuff.
Finally got around to playing this, and it did not disappoint! I'm a huge fan of this world, so it was interesting to see a sort of portal fantasy version of it (which is even mentioned by the protag). Still chipping away at some of the achievements, and inching by the Empress' guard at the same time. Had a great deal of satisfaction after hitting a certain ending. Def agree with this being a good intro to the series; Tell A Demon was mine.
