About Gods of Sand
Build and manage your own gladiator school while commanding warriors through tactical turn-based combat in brutal arenas, balancing economics, training, and strategic gear loadouts to restore your family's legacy. Deep customization and gear variety let you experiment with countless fighter builds to dominate the competition and climb the ranks.
To run a ludus (a gladiator school) you must always pay attention to the economics of your business. Fight to get money and prizes, train your gladiators enough to maintain a solid income and restore the old and abandoned ludus your family left you.
Multiple items and weapons are allowed inside combat, but knowing the best time to use your gear is key if you want to be the champion of the arenas.
Any skill, armor or weapon is usable by any gladiator, generating lots of possibilities when it comes to creating new builds. What Steam players say

fun game with cool art style :)
A great and fun little game. It scratches the itch that Domina did, being a Ludus manager and training up your gladiators. In my hour of playing I encountered a good few random events (I'm assuming they're semi-random) which were interesting. With some future updates, this could be quite cool. I do however find the combat a little bit tedious and I find the "Auto resolve" isn't the best way to do quick matches. It would be nice if in the future, you can click an "auto fight" button and your own gladiators fight out the match themselves as if they were AI. Considering the game's what? ... £5? It's a great buy and even if you only get a few hours out of it, you have made your monies worth.
good game. pretty repetitive 7.5/10
yes, i did enjoy the game.
These devs are legendary given the steam early access nightmares, and general lack of accountability from much bigger studios. A few years back, I played this game, and really liked it. Heck, it's only $10. It was pretty much abandoned in 2024, unfinished, and I thought it's just another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ EA outcome. Out of nowhere, this kingly team (with respect to all who worked on this, essentially one guy at this point) pushes a 1.0 release after 2 years of radio silence. They take accountability in a message in a heartfelt memo: "it's finally here". Definitely worth picking up. We are so back.
