About Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition
Play through three interconnected stories of survival in Liberty City as Niko, Johnny, and Luis navigate a corrupt metropolis where money and power rule everything. This Complete Edition bundles the original game with two full episodes that reveal how these characters' lives collide with explosive consequences.
Niko is looking to escape his past and make a new life for himself in the land of opportunity. Johnny, a veteran member of The Lost biker gang, is caught in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of the city. Luis, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (a.k.a. “Gay Tony”), is struggling with the competing loyalties of family and friends in a world in which everyone has a price. Their lives cross paths with devastating consequences as they fight to survive in a city torn apart by violence and corruption.
The Complete Edition includes Grand Theft Auto IV and the Episodes – The Lost and Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony.
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise this game as an underrated classic with an engaging story, excellent soundtrack, and a living, breathing city that feels immersive and authentic compared to later entries. However, some players report frustrating technical issues like keyboard mapping problems, and others note the graphics are dated and miss quality-of-life features like vehicle customization found in newer GTA games.
Classic GTA in a fictional NYC. My favorite of the series. Good story & soundtrack

I wasted one hour of my life trying to play, but the game couldn't map the damn keyboard correctly.
The graphics aren't as good as GTA 5, and I dislike not being able to modify and own a personal vehicle, but DAMN THIS ♥♥♥♥ HITS. The game feels real. The driving feels real, the guns feel real, the city feels alive. Bonus points for being a core childhood memory.
