Guide Carl Johnson through a sprawling 90s crime saga across San Andreas as you build gang respect, complete missions, and take down corrupt cops who've framed you for murder. The game combines open-world exploration, street combat, and character-driven storytelling with a killer soundtrack and massive freedom to approach objectives your own way.
Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster.
On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.

too many missions. too many awfully designed missions like using rc cars and rc choppers, too many race missions, too many trailing but dont get close missions, and too many ♥♥♥♥ missions. gta 6 might be better than this one because this is the worst one so far.1 found this helpful
disk write error whenever I attempt to install. if this is some weird attempt to get me to get the "downgrade edition" then screw you. EDIT: Took me a LONG time to get working. Don't do this scummy ♥♥♥♥ Rockstar. Not cool.

It's outdated in many ways, but it's probably the best GTA game out. The map feels much larger than it is, the storyline is great and CJ is a character you can sympathize with. While GTA5 brings with itself many great features first seen in GTA SA and expands on them, the characters IMO aren't likeable and the world feels small. SA boast 3 major cities and different climate zones, that make every other GTA title feel limited. The soundtrack is superb as well. Let's see, what GTA 6 will bring!
