Graveyard Shift is a FPS with unique game mechanics and a mise-en-scène that mixes both toonish and horror elements together! Yes, we did it.
You are fighting against restless ghosts and liches. They revolt, because too many graves are dug in the graveyard, whose keeper is you. Your purpose is to re-kill the undead! Your only friends are mushrooms, those you use to make mushroom bombs.
Gameplay
Your ammo is elemental mushrooms, there are 5 different elements of mushrooms those you collect from the ground. You create bombs with those elemental mushrooms (2 Fire, 1 Water, for example) using number keys 1 to 5. Your enemies also have elements; enemy’s element and the elements of your mushroom-bomb determine the damage you deal. For example, you deal more damage to a Fire ghost if you prepare a bomb with Water mushrooms.
There are 2 types of enemies: Normal ghosts and liches. Normal ghosts are melee attackers, they use claws. Whereas, liches throw you stones and they are much stronger than normal ghosts.
We have 2 game modes: Waved and Survival. You fight against 10 waves of enemies in the first. Survival lasts as long as you are alive.
There are 4 power-ups: Slow Time, Shield, Mushroom Magnet and Infinite Mushrooms.

A lesson in proper wishlist curation. Sometimes, you just need some games for the Steam wishlist. Sometimes, you just browse around and add a bunch of stuff -- you do a quick glance over and think 'eh it's cheap enough and could be good for an indie'. This came in a lot of games from someone (don't worry, they included actual good ones along with this heap.) It's IOS style junk made in Unity with an incomprehensible intro. You run around like you're on crack collecting mushrooms for ammo, then you hit 1-5 to combine them. Thing is, other than color coding, I don't know what exactly I'm making or why it hurts these certain skeleton ghosts more than the other skeleton ghosts. There's no real strategy or even kiting. I ended up mashing my number keys as I backed away as they floated towards me until I had enough ingredients to make a potent enough throwable and then chuck it, with some odd hitboxes on the ghosts where you completely whiff your target, but the games so easy that won't even be a consistent problem. That's it. That's all there is, because you're not protecting anything or upgrading yourself. You just do a circle around the map waiting for things to regrow, and you…4 found this helpful
Pretty fun little game about collecting mushrooms and shooting ghosts, based on the steven king story of the same name. Get it in a sale or something and It's a fun and interesting enough experience for a little while, especially if you mute the ingame music and listen to something in the background.3 found this helpful

Very, very basic. The grind for the shrooms is incredibly tedious. The spells lack good and coherent sprites but for the price it was aight.
|Bottom of the Bin Review| Graveyard Shift is a survival horror fps where collect different types of mushroom to shoot at ghosts. You combine the different elemental mushrooms to increase your damage/ be able to hurt certain colored ghosts. It ether plays in a wave of 10 game mode or an endless survival one.
