Grimshire

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is SO good. i played through all of Year 1 in something like 2 or 3 weeks of real life, it's so fun! i played on Grim setting for my first playthrough; it was HARD. i didn't cry as the game warned, but i DID end up saying (out loud, mind you) "ARE YOU KIDDING?? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT???!" several times as things got more and more dire. or should i say grim? of course, as an early access game, it had some buggy/wonky bits. a few of those listed below, more to (hopefully!) help the devs than anything. none of these impacted my enjoyment of the game at all, though. 1. when 2 or more fish are in the same tile, especially near the corners/edges of water, they can start a sort of glitchy doomspiral where they bug out like crazy and their movement is all weird. 2. when fishing in the marsh, you can lure in a fish while your bobber is hovered over the green area (the spot where the water meets the ground), but when they reach your bobber, the "catch" mechanism doesn't start, the fish just hovers in place and never bites your hook. to get out of this bug, you have to release the "catch" mechanism, which startles the fish away and you lose it. 3. hit box in the…

This is a fantastic game and I can't wait for the full release. It definitely needs a bit of work in some areas like hit placement (namely mining). I played through 2 times. the first was on grim, and in the summer months I got wrecked in getting enough food. I realized that this game does not throw its punches lightly. The 2nd playthrough was much better that I knew what I was doing. Not everyone is expected to survive in your first play through. Its intended that way (at least on grim). I like the economy, but for many items its not worth making them as its only a marginal addition and its better to just sell the base items (I find this a bit of a shame). I like the research aspect of getting more and more ways to preserve and farm efficiently. I can't wait for more updates. I'm currently working on optimizing a challenge run. I am a little concerned about what's after the first year.

A fantastic game with a unique take on the farming sim genre. The way the stakes slowly rise as you try to support the community felt very organic. However I will say, dev progress is slow, and I wish they would stop tweaking tools and introducing new playable species and just focus on getting the year 2 content finished (which will finally introduce some of the mechanics I bought the game for, such as the ability to romance NPCs). Overall though, I absolutely love it so far

This is an awesome farming sim! I love how it adds a dark twist to the SDV-esque vibe, providing solid differentiation between the games without being repetitive. The characters are all unique and fun to interact with. I highly recommend this game and am surprised I did not find it sooner. I am excited to finish more of it and plan to hit 100% completion.

I love this game, just when you think things are going your way the game finds a way to ♥♥♥♥ you over. Fantastic game!
