A very fun dual-platform shooting game! Although I developed this game myself, I shamelessly recommend everyone give it a try!14 found this helpful
The John Wick influences extend beyond just the plot setup. The gameplay requires you to be as economically prudent with your shooting, moving, reloading, close quarters melee as Mr Wick himself. Each level is an improvised dance of death and you either find your place in the choreography or you DIE.4 found this helpful
This Rolling Thunder clone won't be too difficult if you've played a bunch of Rolling Thunder, but the randomized levels have such a tight design and new waves of enemies keep you on your toes. The scoring and combo system is cool and kept me striving to maintain a brisk pace in combat. I only played through the story mode once so far. Leaderboard scoring and achievements heighten replayability, I will probably circle back and give this more time. Regardless, this is worth $4 but keep in mind the main campaign is relatively short if you're a one and done type of gamer.1 found this helpful
Good, concise game. Does a good job of building off an established baseline. The dog enemies in the early chapters are a great idea! However, some things bothered me. The inertia in the movement really bothers me though. Also, because melee kills are worth half as much as bullet kills, I tended not to go for them when playing for score - which made me not move forward as quickly so I could have my gun stocked up, slowing down my pace. It was uncommon to find myself in a situation where I thought "oh no, I'm out of bullets" so staying still to reload felt like a bit of a pain each time I had to stay still to use it, like doing household chores. Canceling reload with melee saved a little time but I basically never used it or had a reason to use it. I might have missed it but not sure what to do with all the leftover coins after buying the cards. And not having an option to run the full game, chapters 1-5, on 1 life and having a leaderboard for that is a missed opportunity - hope you add this in an update. Overall fun time!
You guys beat the first level ? No really it took me half and hour and dozens of tries. Tough as nails and precise.its very fun and reminds me of the good old days of gaming. Leaderboards are a huge bonus. 90 minutes total to beat it but a lot of replayability. I hope to see some more levels or a second game cause at 4 bucks its worth it if you like a game thats really gonna challenge your and doesn't overstay its welcome. 10/10 for me easily.
I give this a high recommend. It's super fun. 5 levels/chapters may not sound like much but the challenge will keep you at it long enough on your first go. The extra mode with the sniper gun is a nice bonus when you want to hunker down and stop running through levels for a bit to blast baddies. The replay value is like those old arcades that was fun to play over and over with getting good at it just making the replay even more fun. That's the value of this one, high replay factor that's hard to stop. Stopping is the biggest challenge of this game. I completed all 5 chapters without thinking about checking the upgrades section, just slipped my mind. When I got all the upgrades, it made replay even more fun. Consider holding off on those until you've completed the 5 chapters and it will give you a new experience to go through them again that way.
