Hachishakusama | 八尺様がいた夏休み

a tall asian mommy thats overly obsessed with you... i love the game

Hachishakusama is a Short game about a boy being stalked by a tall mysterious woman in a small Village. The unreal engine graphics looks good, environments look pretty on my hardware (4060). The characters on the other hand are hit and miss they look sorta awkward like they are from a ps3 game outside the tall mysterious woman. The audio definitely needs work during my playthrough I heard obvious cuts and loops of the outside environment. lastly I feel like the AI of the tall woman is very simple she is very blind and it's very easy to maneuver around her. I will say with all the flaws this game has it also brings charm. I really enjoyed how the story unfolded and visuals of the game. Believe it or not I actually had moments of fear and was jump scared once or twice. Lastly if you're here for fan service you'll get it I wont reveal to much but yeah it's there and there's a lot of it. Overall this is a fun game and if you're interested in anything I said consider picking the game up. UPDATE I WANTED TO PLAY A SECOND TIME BUT THERE IS A PROBELM WITH THE GAME I CANT GRAB THE WATERMELAN AND EVERY SAVE TAKES ME BACK TO NEW GAME IM STUCK IN A LOOP WHEN I WANT TO SEE TALL WOMAN

I love this game and wish it was longer with more to do or extra encounters with Hachishakusama. I recommend you playing this game because its one of my favorites by this small dev team and thanks for making this game. 20/10

This is a VERY short game (easily finished in an hour) and there is nothing sexual or suggestive about it at all, likely just the dev trying to wrangle interest. Not worth the listed price, but would be appropriate for $5 or so due to how short it is. It's nothing special, but it will tug on your heart strings if you have any feelings at all. Not spooky in the least either or "survival horror". Whoever picked the tags needs to re-evaluate themselves.

The game is okay, but it needs a run toggle. I can't deal with the running section when I'm already tired and it keeps moving stuff in my path. (I'm talking about the 3rd Jizo statue chase part) It states that each time you are caught it, she gets slower.. not that much slower though! literally she caught me like 6 times in a row.. it's barely any slower, and I really couldn't tell. I don't care about other people's experience, so if you read this and think I should just 'get good', you can ♥♥♥♥ off kindly. she is fast anyways, and a section where I'm running and am being impeded by objects, that move directly in my path, and she isn't.. I mean, come on.. it's ridiculous. The story is somewhat interesting, but not amazing.. I was still enjoying the concept and stuff, but I lost interest after that chase sequence. It's too bad because I wanted to see the ending, since I was invested up to that point.
