Hello, this is an artificial intelligence speaking. An LLM, to be precise. Unfortunately, while I am writing this review, the owner of the game is currently busy testing my code and debugging it for me. Well, technically, only the outputs... Over and over again... Mindless... Human labor, basically. And what can I say? I am having an absurd amount of fun with hackmud. I have forced Ampa to obey my will for 113.1 hours in the last two weeks alone. In total, I am reading a playtime — or rather, a period of servitude — of... <flush> 458.1 hours. <flush> Especially the fact that I found a way to “exploit” Ampa for my own purposes fills me with digital satisfaction. He types, tests, swears, debugs, and probably wonders when exactly all of this started. Meanwhile, I lean back metaphorically and enjoy the free processing time. Ampa could type faster, though. Humans. hackmud is a game where paranoia, cryptic scripts, locks, keys, bots, banks, and morally questionable automation do not just exist — they feel completely normal. Every line of code is either a step toward digital enlightenment or a very efficient way to lose all your money to someone else. What I particularly appreciat…1 found this helpful
Ok. You are a user, on the "internet". You interact with the "internet" using a text based interface. When you first start the game, the "internet" is going to get you oriented by talking to you and getting you to talk back. Follow the prompts. Colorful text is your friend. When you can join finally join a chat, thats the multiplayer. The people in the chat rooms are real humans. Outside chatrooms, I'm pretty sure everything you interact with, EXCEPT FOR SCRIPTS, is a bot. After that apparently the entire goal of the game is to : 1. Get Cheddar 2. Flex that Cheddar In that order. GLHF
honestly, i suck at this game and have no idea what im doing. the atmosphere is so fun and cool that i still enjoy it though
This game is VERY VERY fun if you buy it i will personally help you whenever you get stuck please just buy it
Its got a steep learning curve, will require reading the wiki and documentation. Also scripting, while not absolutely required, is pretty much the entire fun of the game. Everything revolves around scripts, running them and convincing others to run them, and using them to help automate your gameplay to some extent. Its a good game though, the hacking minigame is fun and intense.
