ONE OF THE BEST in early hidden object adventure era. Thanks for specialbit studio's work. The visual is my beloved, a grey and yellow crossed hotel under the sunset, a bleak and lackluster atmosphere, stands in the hotel. Various POI are set, such as the hut across the hedge maze, a chapel in the another side of lake, a underpass beneath the hotel, is connected with flooded church debris and smelly swamp. There is set separation between each chapter(in game it is called a day), A renovated dynamic weather was designed in ingenious. What's more I'll appraise, from the inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft, that some minigame textures are designed for Cthulhu-like, easy and theme-fitted. Also, storyline is so brief, just find a way to rescue your brother. Yet how brave does protagonist sleep in creepy and thrilled hotel. Gameplay is reasonable, all puzzles and minigames are not hard, even shouldn't read the strategy, every scene are few things to do, less items collect in first two days. In pity that a lot of empty rooms in hotel are not used for making puzzles(I was trying to make a way to open the right-wing upper hallway's double doors while playing). All in all, Good gameplay, good…
The plot was mediocre and there is no map to see where you are or to fast travel. Most of the mini-games in the bonus round were impossible to solve without using the skip button. Big Fish just doesn't rise to the level of Artifex Mundi or Cateia Games.
I loved this game it told a story while also having this big puzzle to solve this was a grate game to play
Excellent a real old fashioned puzzle game. A map would have been useful but besides that and a couple of crashes a very enjoyable game.
I love HOGS so much, but This game was absolutely trash. The story was dry. The mini games were terrible. It had no map or any direction of where I even needed to go. It was just overall the worst HOG I have ever played. NOT worth the $11 for it. You are better off finding a more current HOG that has better graphics, storyline, mechanics, etc.
definitely one of the cooler HOGs i've played! pretty solid atmosphere and gameplay, wasn't too hard or too easy. also the cutscenes looked really cool! i just think the frequency of riddles was a bit exhausting
