Hedge Fund Tycoon

Very very well thought. After so many years, finally someone touched this idea. Obviously still a lot of work ahead, but it started in a nice direction. Time should go by slower tho, so we can be more active in a continuous way, interacting with everything continuously as time goes by without the constant need to stop time and check all positions and company health every second cause once you hit that time forward button, all hell breaks loose. So a more slower time forward would be nice. More news and more different kind of news, a sort of more in depth realistic strategy consequence with links to other companies and sectors, and even employees snitching you up on rivals due to some kind of hate, an 'email system' should be dope too, where you receive NPC's emails about news, board votes, encrypted emails of friends on certain sector helping with insider trading, or catastrophes like an oil rig exploding. A more realistic price action parameters should be in place too according to the real volatility of each sector, I'm not sure this system is realistic, specially in the commodities. I'm sure there's many people within the sector in real life that would be wiling to help with that…

Wow this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I mean where do I start. This game is supposed to simulate running a hedge fund, and make some money through trading for profit, but this game doesn't even have a news menu to give you information on companies your going to invest in. Did I also mention this game has no tutorial? Seriously this game no tutorial to at least give you clues, and hints on how to play the game. It is so unrealistic and basic. You don't have any indicators, or clues on whether the prices will go up or down. I refunded this piece of ♥♥♥♥ instantly after playing it for just 12 minutes. Don't get this game unless you want to be frustrated. Please just don't get this game.

Got Boring fast

Incredibly disappointing, even for $6. I had thought better of purchasing it, but morbid curiosity spurred me on to find out just how awful a game this really is. The inability to save and load even ONE game months out from 'release' is ridiculous! Why anyone would ever release a game without it, I have no idea. But even putting that aside, the wasted potential of a potentially rewarding, complex simulation is even more lamentable. Cannot recommend, even at this price! Capitalism, Capitalism Lab, etc are much better games that 20 years on are still the best around.

The overall concept of the game is interesting, especially since there aren't many games like Hedge Fund Tycoon. However, it feels more like a barely started project. The lack of basic functionality, such as saving the game state, limits gameplay to just a few hours. To say that the interface is minimalistic would be an exaggeration; it’s barely there.
