Excellent little light immersive sim. Great gun play, challenging gameplay. Slightly samey leel design but that actually starts to help rather than hinder after a while. I find myself coming back over and over again for another run. Some jank, sometimes you get stuck on things or pushed outside the level, but overall suprisingly well polished and very fun.

Hell of Fear is an insanely good, but a bit janky, time. It's a shame it hasn't garnered more attention and I highly recommend it to anyone that's look for something new to add to their library.

The game is very repetitive, there is too much loot and too little unique and exciting loot

Want to support independent developers? Ran out of System Shockalikes but need another fix? Then you've come to the right place. The influences are pretty obvious:
An abandoned base, something went wrong, horror, weird creatures, zombies and hey, even a malevolent AI
. Exploration is encouraged and often rewarded, even though sometimes you fight your way through hordes of monsters just to find a bag of chips. Inventory management can be a bit tedious - so much stuff, so little room. Combat is quite challenging and on par with other ImSims with a nice selection of weaponry. Story is nothing new, but engaging. Enemies are sufficiently gnarly. While it's somewhat barebones and built around a repetitive structure of exploring basically Copy / Paste sectors, there's still enough variation that keeps you interested. I quickly found myself in a pretty addictive "Ah, whatever, just ONE more sector" gameplay loop.

For whatever reason the game didn't click with me. There's a lot of good stuff here and the Dev(s) are really talented but the gameplay just didn't do it... I didn't play much but whatever I did play, I really didn't like. I saw the Full Gameplay footage on youtube to see if maybe the game gets better and if I should keep it and try again... The game is only about 3-4 hours long and wasn't really impressed with what I saw. It's not a bad game by any means, I just felt the game is a bit slow and the mapping of the level/environment is more confusing than scary. The whole place gives me this claustrophobic feeling that's very unpleasant... and not in a fun way. Even though I didn't like it; I believe the Dev(s) are very talented and so I'm going to give it a "Check it out" anyway. I would pick it up on a Sale and see if it clicks with you. It might actually do the job but $16.99 is WAY too much which is why I can't recommend it... there are lots of other games offering more and charging less. Just one Gamers opinion though. I'm looking forward to see how the Dev(s) grows in this industry... They have a lot of potential and I'm looking forward to seeing what else they have plann…

To whom it might concern: To start I liked the game. Having said that I feel I would be remiss if I didn't point out a few things. 1 I agree with the comments on the backpack storage system that sucks. 2 All weapons become available as you go. So even though you get shot gun ammo you wont get the shotgun till later... MUCH later depending on your choices. 3 Yes you can break the boxes with the blue light on them. BUT only with the Sledgehammer. You can use the explosive rounds by dropping them and then shooting them. Watch how close you are as the blast radius is large and may take a huge chunk out of your armor. I didn't find them worth it. 4 The Q-Storage box sucks. Anything you store in one is in all. But it works like the backpack, doesn't matter about the weight just what fits. 5 Should be able to sell stuff to the machines or trade with survivors. Something!!!!! They can be eliminated later. But alas no. Other wise graphics where good for the type of game it is. The plot was not half bad. Yes in spots very predicable but the whole computer thing was worth the time. No got stuck spots like in walls or stuff. Also, at least for me , no crashes. All in all a solidly dece…
