A light-hearted game about analysing fake information and thinking critically. The art and music are very nice, however the story has a predictable twist. But the biggest twist of all is the game itself. It's supposed to develop your critical thinking, but the conclusions you arrive at are being fed to you by your personal AI assistant, e-Lux. By playing this game you're actually surrendering your thinking to your AI overlord. It was mind-blowing for me when I realised this fact.

"Hellink" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This garbage e-book once more features the authors imaginary anime girlfriend, this time a detective with blue tip hair dye. I guess that beats the uncomfortably common number of e-books where the imaginary girlfriend is still in high school. Anyway this one at least has a bit more to it, as it covers the concept of "fake news in Cyberpunk", which isn't a very interesting idea, but, thankfully, less cringey than most Steam Direct e-books. This was still a dismal failure here on Steam, which is for PC games, not e-books about imaginary girlfriends. This e-book isn't that linear and works more as a Choose Your Own Adventure, but the point still stan…

Hellink — это геймплейная игра, которая заставляет задуматься о последствиях человеческой деятельности. В ней игрок управляет группой персонажей в пустыне, где ресурсы ограничены. Геймплей сочетает стратегическое планирование, сбор материалов и выживание. Сюжет наполнен трагедией и мотивацией, но сложность игры требует умения принимать решения. Воздействие на окружающую среду и риск потери жизни добавляют глубины. Игра вызывает чувство ответственности, но не дает легкого выхода. Несмотря на трудности, Hellink привлекает внимание за своей уникальностью и атмосферой.
