I recently have gotten addicted to incremental and auto battler games, I saw this when checking what was upcoming and it came out later that day so tried the demo and had to buy to see what extra content is in the game with that being said here is my review and how it compares to the demo. I start each run going for ramp in my node choices, so Id start of slow having to skip fights in exchange for gold which lead to the game getting a bit difficult but once the ramp was fully online it was very easy there got to a point where I was unkillable which whilst giving a sense of dopamine for character progression did get boring after a bit never on the first run I got all node points just for the sake of it to see if I unlocked anything else and apart from some options at the end theres no point essentially. there is currently 2 classes whilst the demo offers 1 there is hardly any way to build the characters apart from a couple of talent points the rogue class seemed to not really vary on talents but the techie class exclusive to the full game has 2 completely different builds which I found fun. The game delivers a tight core loop and beautifully crafted pixel animations. It easily hooks you for a solid few hours before the novelty fades. However, strategic choices are thin. The lack of build variety and static build orders mean most runs play out exactly the same. It does what it does well, but don't expect deep replayability. Zero issues on Linux.

You start on the upgrade tree screen, where your first and only viable purchase is to become a hero. Buying this upgrade reveals all adjacent ones, making progression through the tree similar to most incremental games out there. You keep uncovering new upgrades by purchasing the ones that have just become available. Some upgrades can be bought once, while others can be purchased several times. This is important because further upgrades on the same branch require you to max out all previous upgrades. What’s unique is how you gain currency for upgrades. You do this by spending action points within a single day on different actions. You can work for money, which then lets you buy upgrades, or train and fight criminals around the city. Training lets you increase damage, speed, or health points, and you can spend all your daily points on any of the three as many times as you want. Training carries over across days, so nothing is lost, but it doesn’t give you any resources. Unless, of course, you fight criminals, which is vital. While it was a good game, everything worked.. it was wayyy to easy. Once I understood it, I never died...and beat the boss with ease.. You snowball pretty damn quickly in this game

Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect going into this. I was pleasantly surprised and I genuinly enjoy this. Thank you devs for the key, I will be making coverage tomorrow but I wanted to try it out. I honestly can say I am in love with this game. It's a fun little incremental game. It can be VERY punishing. I will say that. Mid level Enemies can really put the hurt on you in the early runs of the game. I have only done two runs so far but this is a game that I will be able to keep playing for a long while. Great job Devs!

Quite addictive. I love seeing the effects of the upgrade tree in combat. The balancing was improved since the demo and a lot more content was added since the last time I've played it. Definitely worth every penny.
