Make piles! If a pile gets big enough, it disappears. I wish my dishes worked like that! This is not the kind of game I'd usually buy, but I was happy to check out a review copy. I've found it a pretty good way to keep my brain busy enough not to get bored, without doomscrolling or actually doing something. The graphics are a bit, uh, retro, but the graphics aren't really the point. You can have a chill and meditative experience just playing for yourself. You can obsess over scoring as many points as possible, as quickly as possible. You can get a little kick out of leveling up and unlocking stuff. I wish the camera/view was a bit more flexible, but I got used to it. Note that some of the achievements require skill and speed. Let's just say that after one test run of Competitive mode for the leaderboards, it was clear that was not where I was headed. I'm obviously not an expert in this genre, so I can't say much more. Seems like an alright straightforward puzzle game. You can still check out the demo to see if it's for you! I really like this game and find it addictive - the rules are simple, but it poses challenges as you progress - there are three modes - infinity mode, competition mode, and levels mode - infinity and competition modes have different levels of difficulty - by playing the game you learn to plan your moves to maximize your scores - I haven't played a game like this before, and absolutely love it

6.5/10 Stack merging puzzle TLDR: Despite pleasant presentation and an interesting premise, the game stumbles on the seemingly unsolvable problem of visual overlaps. They hurt legibility of the current situation. Also, the puzzle mode depends on luck and limits planning too much as you only see the next 3 stacks in the queue. Good: + interesting core idea of placing stacks of colored pieces to bring colors together in 3D + nice environments + pleasant music and sounds So-so: +/- camera controls are there (WASD, right mouse drag). However, flying around with the camera is tedious. I'd want to be able to just rotate the camera around the center of the board (maybe with middle mouse drag) but it's not possible. Also, I'd want to change field of view. In perspective mode, often stacks that are closer to the camera you see from the top (and can't tell which pieces those stacks contain) while other stacks are seen almost from the side, and they block the stacks behind them +/- the core problem is the visual overlap between towers. It can't really be resolved, especially when towers get bigger. For clarity of the stacks, pieces would need to be thicker. But towers stand close together…

I haven't played it too much yet, maybe just 30 minutes. So far its pretty fun and very satisfying when the towers crumble. I like the unlock system, the items and boosters make it feel like an rpg which is nice. The 3d worlds are cozy and comfy. The strategy aspect is a little light as I was expecting something more brain busting, but this reminds me more of tetris where positioning and planning ahead is more important that logical deduction.

Played for about 4 hours and really enjoyed it. The world looks beautiful, and the hexagonal structure makes it feel unique. The atmosphere is calm and immersive, it’s nice just to explore and look around. Controls are simple and easy to get used to. A great game to relax with after work. I recommend giving it a try!
