✦ AI summary
Players consistently criticize this hidden object game for poor controls, confusing item detection where clicking the correct object sometimes doesn't register, and an absurdly large file size (7-7.5 GB) that seems unjustified for the game's scope. Beyond technical issues, reviewers cite random glitches like score resets, static backgrounds, repetitive music, and a high price point for what amounts to very basic, low-quality content that feels like an asset flip.
I wrote a review on Ghosttown last year but the game was only officially released this year. So let's note down a couple of words for this one which is an already released game from Hede Games or Hede and not being in early access. This - and the rest in the series - is an awful HOG game with barely acceptable controls and graphics. We look for items but they do not always match the small picture shown as a hint in the upper-left corner. There is a dropdown for handling the camera but it has options that do not make any sense (e.g. "closest player"). The map is very small, yet, the game requires more than 7 gigabytes. These games are always barebone and come with the same amount of achievements. Usually, materials from Hede have a very high price tag (almost 100 EUR) which is often reduced to around 10 EUR and then 1 EUR. This is clearly a scam - a developer probably working with pre-purchased assets. If you check his "games" released later you can clearly see the same pattern. Avoid them if you can!36 found this helpful
What can I say - "Hidden Town" is your typical HEDE hidden object game with the same music, terrible controls and overall low quality. The background is completely static and likely flipped from some freely available sprite sheet. The objects are pretty well hidden, sometimes so much that clicking on an object that looks exactly like the requested one doesn't register because the game wants you to click a specific one of the several identical pieces. Sometimes - but not always - you get a deduction to the number of objects you've found for clicking the wrong object. It's wildly inconsistent and makes no sense in a hidden object game. The game is a whopping 7.5 gigabytes when it really shouldn't be more than maybe 100 megabytes (and that's with all the crap Unity games generally ship with). This is thanks to HEDE using their propetiary engine which always ships all included assets even if they are not needed by the actual game. Also, the installation includes versions for all three operating systems instead of just the one you're using as is standard for HEDE games. At $10 this is just ridiculous. Even at a lower price it would be. HEDE is constantly pumping out similar games (t…16 found this helpful

his game saved my life. I am 27. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiraling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The hand I desperately needed to make sure I could continue to provide. After learning of the severity of my self-inflicted damage, I was borderline suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man with no history of depression or anxiety. I have never had fits of rage, or been one to break down and cry, but I was in a low spot that just really buried me from being able to see the light on the other side. Having nothing better to do, I searched for a game I could play, ONE HANDED while I recovered. I somehow stumbled upon this game and read some of the reviews. I decided that it had to be worth a shot... I must admit, I didn't b…5 found this helpful
Sadly this games suffers the same issues as the rest of the immensely overpriced and unsuccessful Hede HOG games. 1. If you look at the screenshots I have taken you will notice the black screen which appears to happen on 2 or 3 occasions randomly during game play. 2. The numbers at the top of the screen reset randomly and any miss click results in a random reset of coins and a reset of total items found. 3. I spent nearly an hour trying to play this game to a full conclusion of 30/30 hidden items but it was impossible to do with all the item resets These hidden object games are impossible to play well and a real waste of money being as over priced as they are. Even if they were offered for free, I would still caution restraint until the UI is fixed and the game has all errors redressed.3 found this helpful
