High clear VR

HS Varsity badminton player review: I'll be honest, from the reviews ive seen so far, no one here has played badminton competitively or even been to a badminton gym, as a d1 varsity highschool player, this game is pretty bad... to be fair there's no "realistic" badminton game out there but this is falsely advertised. This is honestly arcade badminton at best, physics are meh... there's no slice mechanic, can't play nets, can't even smash properly with correct form. I kinda just stood there and backhanded everything since any other shot, like my forhands, all go out of bounds bc the physics buff the player's racket so much. The racket isn't even proper length lol, Imma be honest, this feels okay for people who don't play badminton on the level that most gym goers play at, but at least put a disclaimer that tells people that this is not the full experience. Pros: good sound, opponent has pretty nice form (when its not glitching out) you can actually play most of the farther shots like clears and drives if you hit really softly better than the other badminton vr experiences. Great game but unable to launch as of 01/08/22. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't fix nor does verifying the integrity of the cache :/

Don't buy this game! It's dead and the developer has left the game. A few years ago i played High Clear VR on my Mixed reality glasses (Samsung HMD Odyssey+) and i liked it very much. Unfortenately i didn't have enough room to play. Now i have enough room to play but switched to the Quest 2. All my VR games are now working without any problem, except High Clear VR. When i try to start it, it will quickly go back to the Steam home VR-environment. I did a factory reset on my Quest 2, had Steam check the files and reinstalled the game. Also i reinstalled the Meta Quest link software. Nothing seems to work.

Works flawlessly with Oculus Quest by forcing the Windows 7 compatibility to the executable file. Very good game, fun, easy to play, well polished. Does require just a small play space.

It's not a bad game. but there are better badminton games now.

I’m really enjoying this game. I wish the shuttlecock/bird had more realistic physics and I wish I could find someone to play with in multiplayer but the single player matches make up for it. I like the standard movement option although I can understand how it could make some people sick. The game is not perfect by any means but for some reason I keep going back to it. It feels good to hit the bird. The AI on legendary difficulty is a challenge. Below that was a little too easy to beat and I’m by no means a good badminton player. Graphics are fine. Sounds could be improved. A lot of repeated shoe squeaks and racket hits. Also ambient audio doesn’t reflect the environments. Gym Reverb when I’m outside? I know I’ve said a lot of negative things but I’m still glad I got it. If you like wii sports tennis, I think you’ll like this.
