Highrise Mogul is a tycoon game about building and managing your own skyscraper. Start from nothing and begin by placing flooring, generating walls, placing doors, rooms, decorations, services, power grids and more! Manage your high-rise by hiring staff, managing your finances, starting PR campaigns and instituting policies that your tenants must follow. Be the most ruthless micromanaging landlord or just enjoy being an architect, the choice is yours.

Design your floorplan. Create the most beautiful garden. Try to cram as many people as possible into a single floor or offer your tenants an idyllic place to live with all the services and space they need. Add in details like vending machines, decorations or trash cans. Choose to build studio apartments, offices, luxury lofts or enticing businesses to lure in visitors. Maybe even give your staff members a lounge or two! Highrise Mogul let's you create and build the skyscraper of your dreams.

As the owner of your own highrise there are dozens of things to manage. Choose and implement policies to encourage higher income tenants, discourage littering or support sustainable consumption. Seems to be abandoned by the dev. No update for months to fix the game breaking bugs (people getting stuck around taxi poles, firefighters not putting out fires etc). Would not recommend until the dev actually start working on it again. There's an enjoyable game behind the bugs, but it looks like the bugs are there to stay which makes it incredibly frustrating to play, if not unplayable. I'm requesting a refund as I feel genuinely scammed.8 found this helpful
The controls feel sluggish and don't respond with any crispness. The rotate button is TAB and place multiples is SHIFT, guess what the shortcut for the Steam overlay is? Oh wait, it's SHIFT+TAB, so that's fun. Doors are apparently non-Euclidian and don't behave accordingly to rational thought, also, the people are non-Euclidian and can teleport, when existential dread doesn't freeze them in place. Frankly, this feels like an Early Access game, but isn't. The minor detail that the last patch was in December, at the time of writing, really doesn't help.1 found this helpful
ok I wrote a whole long 6 paragraph thing here but then the restart steam window came up and I wasn't in high mind so here goes. I like games like Another Brick in the Mall, Two Point Hospital and rise of industry. Every one of those games has at least a decent tutorial, this doesn't. The rooms are shaped so oddly at times that there is no efficient way to put them into your building. The economy is un-intuitive and the game honestly feels like it's an early beta rather then full release. The hallway system makes sense for businesses but why can't the power rooms be connected to each other with one leading out to the hall? why can't I build a generator behind the circuit breaker room? Why does the R&D room not have staff and why is it shaped like an L using exactly 3 squares? why can't I make a bigger cafe instead of having to build a second one if I have more than 2 customers? The fixed room sizes takes away a lot of the fun of these kinds of games and thinking about what rooms you can afford to expand in order to make profit and which ones you need to leave as they are to lose business but stay profitable. Poorly executed on a basic long-standing genre that works for a…
This could have been a very enjoyable game about building and managing highrise buildings. However, it sadly falls short. Staff can be hired and fired, but they cannot be managed. You cannot easily find them and there is no way to direct them to hotspots where they are needed ... literally in the case of firefighters. Also, if they are unhappy, they quit without a word. The game also has a frustrating interface that I found unintuitive. This is my sadly first negative review and as the game appears to be abandoned, hope for the problems being fixed is slim. if it does happen, I will revise this and hopefully be able to recommend it.
My game ended up with an error where all the people became frozen but their legs were still moving. Then the next time I loaded my game, I could see the visitor numbers fluctuate as people came and went, except that i couldn't see anyone actually coming and going. The summary is misleading. I thought the tenants would be more demanding which would in turn drive me to meet their needs. I thought the offices and apartment designs would have more options. Overall a very simple game. There's a lot potential and opportunity yet to be enabled. Needs more design build options. I love that right off the bat you can just give yourself unlimited money so you can just build. However, build options are limited. Beef that up and I would enjoy this more. Elevators should be allowed to have "rear" doors. Would love to see an elevator open directly into a penthouse and roof top. However the current settings only allow elevators and doors to open into hallways. Which limits design ideas.
Have played or stumbled through the first few hours of the game. It has so much potential if it was updated, I have figured out the game mechanics, hopefully my towers thrive with life. R&D takes forever unless you spawn that type of area. Do I recommend this game; not in its current form, yes it is playable. hopefully the dev actually updates the game soon or people just won't play it.
