Home Invader is a short first person stealth thriller that puts me inside a private villa as Rushad, a contract infiltrator trying to get in, collect information and valuables, and get back out without being caught. What I like about the setup is that it does not start by throwing combat at me. I have to actually think about how much noise I am making and how carefully I move through the house. The whole idea is built around being somewhere I should not be, and that gives even simple exploration a bit more tension. The noise system is probably the part I find most interesting. Walking, running and interacting with things can make noise, so I have to think before moving around too quickly. Crouching is quieter, while certain actions can make enough noise to put me at risk. I like this because it makes the house itself feel important. I am not just walking through rooms looking for the next objective. I am checking where I can move safely, paying attention to what I touch and trying not to make unnecessary mistakes. The developers have also made several balance changes to the noise meter and movement sounds since release, which shows that this part of the game is important to how th…

Frustrating experience. I completed the objectives that should have unlocked the achievements, but they never appeared. As someone who enjoys completing games 100%, this was really disappointing. Achievements are a big part of the fun for completionists, and this bug takes away the sense of progression and accomplishment. I even tried replaying the objectives, but the achievements still didn't unlock. The game has potential, but bugs like this make it hard to recommend until they're fixed

This was a pretty average experience overall. The concept is interesting enough, and there were a few moments where I was genuinely curious to see what would happen next. The visuals are decent for a small indie game, and the story did enough to keep me playing until the end. That said, there are definitely some rough edges. A few mechanics felt a little clunky, and some parts of the game could have used a bit more polish. There were also moments where the pacing got interrupted by things that felt more annoying than engaging. Nothing game-breaking, but enough to be noticeable. Overall, I didn't dislike it, but I wasn't particularly impressed either. It's the kind of game you play once, have a decent enough time with, and then move on. If you're looking for a short indie horror experience, you could do worse, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it either.

Didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did honestly. The game gets surprisingly tense once you really get into it and sneaking around the house while trying not to get caught had me locked in the whole time. The atmosphere is probably the best part. The house feels alive in a weird way and the sound design keeps you paranoid constantly. There’s some jank here and there but it honestly adds to the charm a bit.
