About Homefront®: The Revolution
Lead a guerrilla resistance movement through an occupied Philadelphia in this open-world first-person shooter where your tactical choices and sabotage missions dynamically shape the rebellion against an overwhelming military force. Fight asymmetrical warfare with improvised weapons and ambush tactics, recruit allies to your cause, and experience an evolving world that responds to your actions—solo or with friends in online co-op.
Story
Four years into the brutal military occupation, America is on its knees.
Philadelphia - once the birthplace of Independence - has become a ghetto, where surveillance drones and armoured patrols keep the population at heel, crushing any dissent with savage force.
Her once-proud citizens live in a police state, forced to collaborate just to survive, their dreams of freedom long since extinguished.
But in the badlands of the Red Zone, in the bombed out streets and abandoned subways, a Resistance is forming. A guerrilla force, determined to fight for their freedoms despite overwhelming odds and ignite the second American Revolution.
But Freedom always has a price…
Overview
Homefront®: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where you must lead the Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force.
A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions - you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight.
But your enemy has the advantage - superior technology, firepower, heavy armour and air support. You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia.
And the single player campaign is just the start – in Co-Op you and your friends can form your own Resistance Cell and become renowned as Heroes of the Revolution.

love it
surprisingly great! i enjoy playing this game. the aiming is quiet satisfying somehow like real shooting. the story is ironic :p p.s. i know korean so i can understand what the enemies are saying haha
I don't recommend **Homefront®: The Revolution**. The biggest issue is the terrible optimization. Even with high-end hardware, I experience massive FPS drops. Most of the time I get around **200–300 FPS**, but as soon as I enter an area with fire, smoke, explosions, or a lot of NPCs, my FPS instantly drops to **60–90 FPS** and often stays there, making the gameplay feel inconsistent and frustrating. Another disappointment is the graphics. The game looks much better in trailers and gameplay videos than it actually does. Once you start playing, the textures, lighting, and overall visual quality feel outdated and don't match the expectations set by the promotional content. I bought the game for only **€2**, so it's not a huge financial loss, but it's still disappointing that a game released in **2016** performs this poorly in **2026**. It feels like the game was never properly optimized, and despite having some interesting ideas, the technical issues make it hard to enjoy. Overall, I can't recommend it unless you're getting it extremely cheap and don't mind performance problems. There are many better open-world shooters available today that offer a much smoother and more polished …
So, did I buy this game because of Homefront... or did I buy this because PC port of TimeSplitters 2 hidden within it's files? You figure it out :)
amazing at 4k
I fail to see why this game gets a lot of bad reviews. I get that it has many technical issues but get it on sale. I got it for Rs 117(less than 1.25$ currently) while on sale and I've played it twice. Will play it again later this year. The story is good enough to keep you going. Combat is enjoyable and weapon customization is a treat. Graphics aren't bad at all. It's not perfect guys. It is enjoyable though. And more than worth it when on sale. Just avoid comparing the enjoyability of the game to AAA titles. hehe
