Homefront®: The Revolution

[h1]That feeling when a game should have been a linear shooter, but the developers’ ambitions turned it into a mediocre mix of Far Cry and Call of Duty...[/h1] Honestly, the base game left me a little disappointed, but I really enjoyed the DLC. Let’s take it from the top... [h2]Story:[/h2] The game takes us to a KPA-occupied America, with a story centered on the occupation and the resistance. We play as Ethan Brady, a newcomer to the resistance. Our goal is to liberate Philadelphia and rescue Walker, a key resistance leader who gets captured by the KPA at the beginning of the game. Getting him back is supposed to be crucial to freeing the city. We then meet Parrish and Dana, and our fight for the revolution begins. They send us out to destroy outposts and gather information that will help us rescue Walker. The story is pretty basic, with no real “wow” moments. It all feels too generic. The DLC stories are much more interesting. In the first expansion, we play as Walker and have to make our way into Philadelphia through the subway, fighting bandits along the way. Best 6/10 game I ever grabbed while it was on sale. imagine Far Cry without the bloat and padding. A 16-hour experience that doesn't overstay its welcome, and isn't padded out into a 160 hour experience. Just the right amount of length. Also, the shotgun is the best weapon. Reliable one-shot kills up to 20 meters, and it occasionally sends people flying. Only thing it really can't handle is long-range, but eventually you get a third weapon slot and can carry a Battle Rifle (second best weapon in the game!) Also, you can play Timesplitters 2 in this game.

the game runs horribly

it's not promising.. but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now intro is utter trash.. a group of 'rebels' with a 'lookout' get ambushed while they are making bombs and such.. they then proceed to all get killed while you survive only to be later ambushed by the other 'rebels'... one of them wielding a nose ring! who is about to torture you only to be interrupted by their 'leader'.. she then complains she didnt know you werent a spy.. which is no surprise, considering that type is utterly clueless! then they proceed to tell you, you're gonna join up with them or else!! what a moronic story line.. an imbecile obviously wrote it.. and a monkey could do better! will see if it gets any better...
