I beat this game but I could not for the life of me tell you anything about it. Like I have to ask myself every other day if I really did play this game. I cannot recall a single mission that's how insignificant this game is.

This games story is absolute dog water. No I will not sympathize with the crazy space lady that killed millions because she was lonely. Homeworld had its own lore and this game just decides to ignore it all for a weird space magic chosen one storyline. This isn't Homeworld it is a bad IP theft. The game was also abandoned and the season pass was just a borderline scam. Do not play this for your first Homeworld. Actually don't play this game at all. Keep in mind that the campaign is meant to be a main selling point to this series. This entire game should be considered non-canon to the series.

Do you want to play a real time strategy game that's like being marred to someone who's blind deaf and dumb? Than this game is for you. You want to issue attack orders and watch as ships don't move and don't do anything? This game is for you!!! This game is like being a parent of toddlers except you don't have any level of control of your children. imaging telling your children to hey, defend yourself from that fighter in front of you and al of them are like nah, we'll watch the mothership die while we sit her and do nothing. This game is broken. it fundamentally does not work.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI in compaing just keep go for and then detroying resource controller. and not like they smart if say collect they will also just go inside the enemy base. it literly only thing I have to keep make 10 resource controllers and then maibe one fight fridget or destroyer. so HTW must you play if you can not do ♥♥♥♥. just make trying to get resource and then there is so dam few on each map. and the mothership is ussless to defend the resources collectors keep missing the destroyer and I am just asking how it right next to it and can not even hit it.

I honestly don't understand all the negativity about this game, is it the best Homeworld game? No. Is it a fun game to play? Absolutely. I appreciate I'm a bit late to the party and some of the launch issues have been fixed, but it's worth playing in 2026, especially if you are a Homeworld fan. It's not the longest game but the story telling is top notch, they clearly had a direction they wanted to go but unfortunately due to poor reviews and sales this might be it for a while. I got it on discount but I'd have been happy to have paid full price. Yes the AI isn't the best and can be frustrating, but the visuals are gorgeous and worth it. Please do a remake of Cataclysm next, that is one of my favourite games of all time let alone the Homeworld series. I appreciate the source code is lost, so just remake it from the scratch! Anyway; Homeworld 3 - 7.5/10 and well worth playing.

I was waiting a bit too long to try out this game, after completing everything else in the series. My expectations were high, and it delivered. This is very much a Homeworld worthy title, and the audio design is stellar. I play mainly singleplayer campaigns, not skirmishes or online.
