The game was fun and it has it's jumpscares here and there, but i would love for there to be some sort of tutorial for the controls as for within the first 5 minutes of the game my wife and I were confused on how to drop our tools once we bought new ones. We were also a little bummed out that you can't earn any extra cash from going over the meat quota which kinda sucks. The is also a random bug that allows you dupe your tools. Its not really beneficial at the moment but if you guys plan on adding a feature where you can sell old tools to free up tool slot space then this could bea problem. Overall, the game was fun but we'll be setting this game aside until the game has made a few changes.

Huntin' Buddies feels like another game that could be really good but misses the mark. I get the impression that it's another "pump and dump" indie game, where we won't see any meaningful updates after the initial launch, I hope i'm wrong, but that's the vibe I got from the Discord. I like the concept of the game but it feels a little half baked. I bought the game on sale for $4, so it's really a matter of "you get what you pay for." The game comes with all the jank you've come to expect from an "Indie game." You can take that as you will. Things clipping through players and player models stretching and flopping around. The graphics are as you would expect from indie games now days, low quality- but some would say that's part of its charm. The progression is always the same. When you start the game you work through the same contracts every time, and it doesn't take long before you've mastered it. Unlike other games of this style, there's no real "score" to beat. The game doesn't randomize, there's no consequence for someone in your group dying and no real reason to "keep going." A couple hours of gameplay and you've pretty much done it all. The upgrade system is good and bad. Th…

Huge potential in this game, and it's really fun even in the state its in right now. What starts out as you grabbing some buddies and going to shoot up some deer in the forest turns into a challenge of your determination. The monster designs are pretty fun, and having to drag huge animals around is a great gimmick. The game also looks surprisingly charming/great too, especially the last of the 3 areas. The game's humor is pretty crude, but it's not a huge part of the game. Except for you, blonde chicken. I hate you. Keep your exploding eggs to yourself. I would love to see more depth of gameplay in the future of HuntinBuddies, maybe some leaderboards, crazier monsters, see how much animal you can haul back, gun upgrades, etc. But it's definitely worth a shot now anyways. :)
