Perfection. From beginning to end. A Masterpiece in the Exploration and deeper meaning genres.

Beautiful and wonderful surreal experience which reawakens that unnerving-but-fun feeling of playing PlayStation games late at night. Extremely earnest in presentation, and filled to the brim with surprises. The execution of all game elements are really well done from the graphics to soundtrack. Even when it gets scary it never resorts to cheap jump-scares, but it will give you goosebumps and sweaty hands. If you want to get totally absorbed in a different world for an evening, this is your game!

Definitely a unique experience. Somewhere between a walking adventure simulator and a casual platformer. (Until it grinds to a screeching halt for a couple of hours to be a Zelda game?) The story/characters occasionally engage in tepid (but good-natured) philosophizing that gets to be a bit much by the end. My favorite level was the one in the mall, and my favorite character was easily the mushroom dude playing the guitar.

The absolute artistry of the dreamlike landscapes is captivating and pure eye candy, especially being accompanied by an absolute banger of a soundtrack. Being immersed in the environments is the game's absolute strong suite, but in terms of interactivity and pure gameplay, not as much, but definitely nowhere being terrible. The game feels mostly like a walking simulator/platformer which is alright, but I did wish there was some ample interactivity with the environment besides talking with the NPCs. There was one bonus level that had some great interactive puzzles (and was pretty fun actually!), but I do wish there were more commonplace throughout the game as more hands-on interactivity would absolutely add to game's already immersive experience with its visually stunning environment designs. But overall, this game is absolute work of an art and …
