Idle Earth

Idle Earth isn't really a proper game, it's just a lazy 2D browser/Flash-tier "number incrementer" mobile app where the object of the mobile app is to increase the in-game currency by clicking, and sometimes buying things that increase the rate at which your currency/score goes up. It's an incredibly shallow game loop, to the point you might as well just run a program that does "i=i+1; print i" and watch the numbers go up automatically, and just watch it. You'd get the exact same outcome. If this sounds completely mindless, you're not wrong. From a technical perspective, the mobile app doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the mobile app is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the mobile app, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the mobile app, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Was fun for about 40 minutes. But everything is made to be slow, even if oyu click the "skip" button it's just slow.. takes the fun out of it.

Idle Earth is a clicker and incremental game that wears its influences proudly, mixing humor, a cast of quirky characters, and a parade of pop culture references. At its best, the game is a decent time-killer that nudges you along at a decent pace early on, providing enough upgrades and mini-games via different managers to keep boredom at bay. You don’t need to spend premium currency to make decent progress, and most of the clicking involves more than just mashing the same button, which helps it from becoming pure busywork. However, the experience is uneven. For a paid title—even a very cheap one—it leans heavily on mechanics that many free idle games pull off with more flair and variety. The "prestige" system is forgettable, as the income boost barely justifies the reset, leaving you feeling like you're trading time for underwhelming rewards. cute lil idle game i enjoyed quite a lot love the art style and gameplay

Nothing wrong with a trashy shallow idle/clicker game, and this is about what I'd expect from a $2 game. Take an hour or two on a lazy Sunday morning, cheat your way through most of it, and move on with your life and never think about it again. For that, this is fine. But to also throw microtransactions into something so shallow is just sad and is alone worth a thumbs down. Keep that for free mobile garbage.

Wonderfully addicting and engaging! I Reccomend this if you're a fan of incremental games. Lots of hilarious references and seemingly endless content
