✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's charming minimalist visuals, appealing glow effects, and atmospheric music, with puzzle design that offers novel mechanics across its levels. However, many criticize the frustrating control mechanics, particularly the sluggish acceleration and slippery physics that make precise movement difficult, along with unclear control schemes and reports of controller compatibility issues that undermine the gameplay experience.

IIN is a Nintendo Switch game that's been ported to PC. It's a minimalist/low poly puzzle platformer that uses a simple gimmick, you control a number of blocks, and the objective is to jump the block with a circle on it to the exit... using the other blocks and precision platforming to get there. That's it. High school assignment level stuff, but being sold on Steam alongside professionally developed games. Having said that, there's a few levels to go through and the puzzle design is novel with a number of different mechanics to muddle your way through, which must have been endlessly frustrating to the Nintendo Switch gamers this was designed for, who largely would just be confused as to why Mario is a square now. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features lazy minimalist/untextured low-polygon "retro" assets and visuals, m…

Quaint game with decent movement, great music and challenging but not too difficult puzzles. Good job.

Only got this for the achievements, controls were ass

Poor mechanics. The acceleration is super slow to start, so if you want to move just a little, you can't. Very slippery, so stopping is often hard since the block will keep going. Puzzle design is not that engaging. After four levels, I felt bored and frustrated since I couldn't get the blocks to move right. Achievements are strangely duplicated? And XBOX controller didn't work. Not very clear controls. Mouse? Keyboard? Combination? unsure.
