In Between Games

He gave me a copy from reddit, I tried it, its like they made mario and other games and made it slow and weird. I just honestly cannot recommend

In Between Games is a lazy 2D retro pixel ripoff of a couple of different, decades old platformers (Super Mario Bros, copyright Nintendo 1985, Sonic the Hedgehog, copyright Sega 1991). It's a woefully deficient ripoff with worse control handling and gameplay. Character movement is sluggish and floaty and generally unpleasant. The basic rule about ripping off someone else's game is that you should try to exceed the original, not come out with something worse. In fact, the ripoff here is so blatant it's surprising Sega and Nintendo haven't shut this down with legal action... it's absolutely unethical to attempt to cash in on the intellectual property and game design of others. The usual, general defects from amateur developers are here as well, let's go over those. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. a lazy imitation of other original and classic games, mashed together with a paperthin story to make something wholly unoriginal and frankly terrible to play. Some clones present updated or original graphics, an involving story or exciting original new mechanics. But this delivers nothing, there are no redeeming qualities.

Loved the music ! Probably one of the best points of this game . The game it self it's short and time to time a little bit frustrating and with some dedious mechanics time to time but very understandable being this the first game the boy makes ! Finished this after months since the first version was too hard ! I raccomand this playing the dude is preatty young and buying the game will give him some feedback and whynot make some good games in the future :)

A hodge-podge of Mario, Megaman, and Sonic. It's not great, but it's okay. The physics, difficulty and the like are all, just... off. Doesn't take too long to beat, so might be worth a shot if you have some time on your hands.

Such a poor copy of classic games...
