About Inbound

(Mixed reality footage courtesy HTC, taken at E3, 2016)

Inbound brings the fast-play action of missile defense arcade games of the 80's into the modern era! You are a defense commander on FOUR distant asteroid colonies, tasked with protecting the mines from saboteur competitors. You tower above the colony in VR, carefully timing volleys of phaser fire to destroy the inbound projectiles, as well as defending against ground assaults from lumbering mechs and attacking hordes of enemy spacecraft! When things get too crazy, use the time distortion button to slow things down. But use it wisely...you have a limited supply! A steady aim, quick reflexes, and keeping cool under pressure are all critical if you want to survive the onslaught. Inbound is non-stop, 2-handed arcade action in a beautifully immersive VR landscape that will truly make you feel you've been to other worlds.

Inbound is arcade-style action...if you like games such as (the excellent) Space Pirate Trainer, chances are you will really enjoy Inbound as well! Grab some friends and compete for high scores on the four included worlds!

Good game. I got it on sale for about 5.00. I do have constant firing with the rift s. I have been looking for a fix, but I dont think there is one, and I doubt they will fix it in the future. You have been warned.

Inbound is EXACTLY the type of game I wanted in my VR library. If you want multiple genres of games, this is a MUST HAVE for general arcade fun. The graphics and atmosphere are well done, you feel like a giant protecting the colonies below and around you. The game starts at a good difficulty level of play that progresses quickly, but smoothly. Before you know it, you'll be swinging those plasma balls and shooting bombs like crazy! This is a FUN game, Its a very well done VR adaptation of a game from my childhood, Missile Command. Of the many ways this could be accomplished, the Devs put you right in the middle of the action! The incoming mechs and scanners add to the difficulty and variety of enemies. The flying mechs in later missions are huge and beautifully textured and they glide by. it was hard to blow it as I was admiring the modeling! Inbound puts you right in the middle of some intense ARCADE action that doesnt cost a pocket full of quarters to enjoy. Well Recommended

Simply put this is a modernised version of the Atari classic Missile Command in VR. The basic principle is the same in this game, you are defending a base against an attack which mostly comprises of missiles. However in the Atari classic you only face missiles and only have one weapon to fight them with. Here you face missiles, aircraft, a drone thing (that reminds me a lot of the "Hunter Killer" from Terminator) and Mechs and you have blasters (the main weapon) missiles and occasionally mines. Much like the classic though this seems ot be a high score game with endless waves getting progressively harder until you are finally defeated. That's not a negative though, I've often said that the most fun to be had in VR at the moment is from games that are suspciously simple to Atari 2600 games and it's true. Given this game is incredibly cheap (£2.09 at the time of writing), this is a definite thumbs up. For such a cheap game you are getting something very simple, but fun, addictive and actually quite nice to look at. I wouldn't call it immersive as such given you are an invisible giant floating over your colony, but actually it didn't feel awkward, it just felt like a game. My usua…

Scooped this up six months ago while it was on sale, thought it looked neat, and then it sat in my library collecting dust until I played it just now. GREAT GAME! Nice graphics that are really atmospheric - just check out the sun in the orange level, you'l go "WHOA!" The action is intense, controls are easy, everything runs smooth and stable... it totally blew me away (pun!) For three bucks, you can't go wrong here. Thumbs: UP!

Not a bad arcade shooter. Graphics are good, but game is not that deep.
