INFERNO CLIMBER

I'm not saying that those who say the game is poorly optimized are lying, but it's running well for me. I would like to continue and finish it at least once. but it's too difficult. it was really made to be a little piece of ♥♥♥♥. its clanky yes but i'm used to it by now. but in the poison area you put roads that even if you are beaten you can't finish exploring. patrols of enemies. and even hunger. that if you don't poison yourself you die of hunger. also.. plus the worst thing is that if you die you don't just have to go and recover your character like souls like at your bedside. but you have to do it with another character with different stats without equipment. but let me reborn with mine and let me go and recover. i don't want to play with 6 other characters of which only 1 is decent because he has more vitas than the others, but what the ♥♥♥♥ idea is that? i paid 1 euro it's not a problem to drop it but what the ♥♥♥♥!! don't eat eggs put them in the sanctuary to have almost infinite chicken and egg farms

I'm very mixed on this game. There are lots of little really interesting ideas in it that I like but it's also very janky and the jank overshadows some of the niche neat things in it. So here are some neat little niche things you can do. You can throw bottles to attract enemies, throw eggs or banana peels to make enemies slip. Use heat seeking arrows to hit archers around corners. Cure parasites by lighting yourself on fire. Burn poison spewing mushrooms. Hide in treasure chests. Combat though is very simplistic and very jank. The enemy jellies attack hitbox will often suck you in when you seemed to be out of their range. A lot of attacks will send you flying which can result in a mob beat down on you, being chain thrown in the air, or being launched off a cliff which does massive damage. Even late game with good armor and lots of down defense, a lot of attacks seemed to just always launch you. The last bosses I was only dying because I was getting thrown off a cliff repeatedly not because they were doing actual damage with their attacks. Some performance issues on my end but loving this Souls-Like so far. Best to buy on a sale though.

While the game has its charm and mixed in quite a few ideas to differentiate it from "Dark Souls", I just cannot say that I am a big fan of its unique features, namely the "Hunger-meter", equipment breaking now completely destroying the item and death now locking your character, until it is recovered using a different character.

So I've played maybe 100 hours of this on the Windows/Xbox PC version, and cannot stress enough how unique this is. It's not just a soulslike/zelda-clone but something with a lot of charm and yeah they did shoot for the moon and maybe try to shoehorn in a lot but it all still works together cohesively. It screams passion project and cult classic. I just hope more people pick it up and give it a try.
