About InFlux Redux
InFlux Redux is a high-def remake of the 2013 ball-rolling puzzler InFlux, built on a brand new engine with completely overhauled graphics, physics and game code.
InFlux is a puzzle game that mixes exploration and platforming in a series of beautiful natural and abstract environments. You are a mysterious metal sphere which falls from the sky, traversing an apparently deserted island dotted with cubic structures of glass and steel. Each glasshouse is a puzzle to be solved. Redux is the same game, except better in every way, having been rewritten from scratch in Unreal Engine 5.

- Roll your way through a series of beautiful and varied naturalistic environments
- Solve a sequence of mind-bending cubic puzzle structures
- Forge an alliance with a majestic and enigmatic humpback whale
- Enjoy an extensive original soundtrack by composer Jonathan Yandel
- We took so long to make this that it is technically a remaster of a remaster of a remaster

Take me to the ball game
"Why does nobody make marble runners any more?" I have occasionally mused to myself, after having spent inordinate amounts of my youth playing games like Sebastian Aaltonen's "I've Got Some Balls" and, latterly, Cyparade's "Ballance". Well, here is another, similar in spirit to those earlier titles in that you play a marble, you are running, and you have certain powers to aid your progress. Gameplay is split between a really quite beautiful and atmospheric open world map and puzzle boxes that must be solved to progress through it. "These are easy!" I thought to myself in the early puzzle boxes, only to have the game make me eat my words as I tried to wrap my brain around some of the later ones. If you like marbles, atmosphere, and sets of puzzles with pleasing difficulty curves, you'll no doubt enjoy this game. And, frankly, it's just nice that people are still making games like this. Long live the marble runner!
This is a gorgeous physics/marble-like puzzle game. The last section does some exciting things after building on the 3-ish hours of previous levels. It's well worth the effort to see it through! A chill time, all-around. And I can't stress this enough, it feels really good to roll around in the game, bonk into walls, and launch yourself off level geometry.
Peace
It feels jankier than the original. I got stuck and glitched like 5 times. I also preferred the original's push and pull visual effect, the new one is so subtle its hard to notice. I still enjoyed it and I like that it has achievements now, it just seems very poorly optimized.
