"Infrared" is your usual amateur first person horror jumpscare adventure game, typically made with a bunch of flipped Unity/Unreal assets and little to no other imagination, innovation, or quality technical delivery. This one has you explore a spooky forest looking for a way to get into a spooky gas station to fuel up your car because apparently you don't know how a fuel gauge works. Believe it or not, I've seen worse premises for these horror jumpscare games. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. While these are usually just Digital Homicide style asset flips, I'm not sure if this is an asset flip. The assets look considerably worse than anything a genuine asset creator would publish. Slender like game. The concept with the infrared is interesting but the game gets boring and frustrating after some time. Playtime: ~ 1 hour Overall: 3 out of 10 It is for free, so you can give it a try. I wouldn't pay money for this one.
