Internet Simulator is an older game from 2018. It's a venerable 6 years old at the time of this review. It's a Russian asset flip/joke game where you are in some kind of Russian environment, pray to Putin, and use the internet... it's awful, it's a buggy mess, it's just trashware dumped on Steam in the hopes it will go viral. Thankfully, it did not go viral. So it just resides here on Steam, more Russian asset flip pollution that genuine indie devs have to try to compete with to attract the attention of gamers. Which is why this kind of garbage isn't harmless. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game assets are far from bleeding edge, with lowish polygon counts and somewhat low resolution textures, making this look like it's at least 10 years old. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon …

The game mechanics are bad. The graphics are bad. The voice acting is bad. Nothing really works in this game. Stay clear.

The game is funny and playable but there are moments were it's almost like banter during game development and it gets in the way of the game. I really can't recommend this because of that. Even to the point where the game uses the Unreal Engine which seems to settle in there with the idea that you can create an 'Internet Simulator'. It's just gets in the way for all the wrong reasons. I also do not think that is an actual licensed photo of Putin. Clearly taken from the image search function. In the game, from the main menu, you select which scenario you would like to take part in and from there, considering everyone knows how to use the internet, you take control of what to do in the game. There's no tutorials yet it's easy to play but it maybe would be better if there was a tutorial to learn to play the game. Most of the other complaints I have is how the game markets the ideas then the gameplay. It's one of those games.
