About Into The Unknown

There's nothing scarier than waking up in the middle of the forest alone... or so it seems. Taking control of Rachel in this exploration game, you must find out where you are, why you're there, and most importantly, how to get out. What will you uncover when you delve into the unknown?

Into The Unknown was created by middle school students Conner Rush (Programming) and Rachel Bennett (Art). The first game ever created by FYRE Games, this is a short, suspensful, story based game. It's only about 20 - 25 minutes long, but our beta testers have all unanimously decided that it's well worth your time. All donations made to this game will go toward funding our future projects, so we highly encourage you donate!

If you have any external reviews ( i.e. videos, articles, etc. ) we ask that you leave a link in the comments because you don't know how much we appreciate the feedback!

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SURVIVAL GAME! This is a story driven game with time to take in and explore your environment. There's no need to hunt for food or craft supplies. Just enjoy the story and enjoy the visuals.

Thanks for playing!

"Into The Unknown" is just a low key asset flip.. the quality of the sometimes mismatched looking assets is suspiciously much higher than the actual game is, and that's a glaring mismatch. Who's going to create a bunch of high quality assets and then phone in the actual game? It doesn't add up... unless you consider how easy it is for anyone, even people unqualified to make games, to get any and all the game assets they want. The game is essentially a kitbash of assets made by other people, poorly assembled by an amateur developer. These projects are usually rushed through Steam Direct as fast as possible, and the lack of professional standards means the end result is something no gamer should waste their time on. This particular asset flip is an early one, and involves the gripping idea of waking up in a forest and negotiating a bunch of low quality Unity assets and a first person adventure blueprint... the "jumpscare" enemy is just a set of headlights. Spooky stuff. More frightening is that someone thought this junk was okay to publish on Steam, yet here we are. This game is essentially a bunch of other people's stock assets rearranged and kitbashed into a "game", so with…

I always want to commend people for trying something new. For Fyre Games this was their first game. Unfortunately it isn't very good. The story is nonsensical, voice acting is bad and it isn't much fun to play.

It’s a cool little demo of a game. Even more impressive if you see that kids made this. It sets a good tone for the even more impressive Fyre games that come later, such as Summerland.

this game is wack you run from haunted headlights and other than that literally nothing else happens. but ngl i probably would of played the hell out of this game on the back of the bus back in highschool if it was a mobile game. id compare it to the slenderman games.
