About Ironclads: Anglo Russian War 1866

Russia sought to seize control of Constantinople. The city controlled the Black Sea straits, an important economic and strategic point of the Black and Mediterranean Sea. This area was the cause of constant conflict with Britain, which was concerned about her Mediterranean interests. The Crimean War had weakened the position of Russia on the Black Sea, but, in the Baltic and North Sea, the Tsar built a new, modern fleet. In 1865, Poland rebelled against Russia. Britain supported the rebels and declared war on Russia. Two objectives of the Royal Navy were to destroy the Russian squadron in the North Sea and the establishment of a full blockade of the North.

The entire series is mediocre games made of copy-pasted assets from each other to sell it multiple times.5 found this helpful
First battle went fine. 2nd battle neither side would fire. The button for Open Fire said it would start when reached 25% chance of hitting. If I'm reading the symbols correctly I was in the 40%+ range but no firing. Game seems like junk.2 found this helpful

Tried this game for one hour only, but... if you are interested in games of off beat historical eras this is for you. Is it fun... YES! Not certain why others don't find it fun. Control your squadrons, maneuver, and ships fire on target automatically, but the graphics are good. Special effects are good, fire, smoke, wake, plumes from cannon fire. I feel bad that a developer/company put out a game on a subject that few would likely find of interest and then get hammered because it does not have every single ship type or other nonsense. If you like naval warfare and are a history buff... get it.
This is a trash game. Ships are slow and clunky, battles last forever..........even when they shouldn't. It's buggy, clunky and not very funny. Not worth anything, not even if for free. You're better off playing Empire Total War naval battles or if broke just download Warthunder. No force on heaven or earth should compel you to buy this game or play it. Listen it's not worth it, someone loves you, someone cares about you..... don't do this to yourself, find God, find love, find purpose, go back to college...... whatever you do don't waste your time here. Terrible 2/10
