About Ironclads: Chincha Islands War 1866
<p>Spain tried to restore by force its influence on its former colonies, Chile and Peru. This strong Spanish squadron occupied the Chincha Islands, very important to the economy of Peru. Peru received support from neighboring Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia. After several battles, the heavily damaged Spanish squadron was forced to withdraw to the Philippines for repairs. In 1866, Peru strengthened its fleet and sent ships to the Philippines in order to inflict retaliation on Spain. The Spaniards decided to use a weakening of the allies to send a new fleet to South America. The opposing forces gathered strength for the decisive battle of the Chincha Islands.</p>

Tags: Tactical - Squad & Military Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: All these wooden ship combat games from this developper require to be mostly played spamming fast forward. The pacing still suffers when one does that, and of course micromanagement hell ensues. Review: This game be so slow that even on fast forward I thought it was turn based for 3 whole minutes. It is everything I hate about naval combat. Ships take forever to turn, you gotta like... snake your ships around to maximum damage around the enemy. ships fire in a straight line despite cannons being side to side on ships, friendly units fire through each other as if they did not exist. One of the most braindead, slow unappealing pc entertainment products around. Its also just a reskin of the russian american version of this game. Whatever man3 found this helpful
