Isolation (2017)

Isolation is a compact first-person horror adventure that uses a devastated hospital and the aftermath of a mysterious epidemic to create an unsettling journey centered on exploration and uncertainty. Developed and published by Interactive Gaming Studios, it approaches horror through loneliness, environmental tension, and the uncomfortable realization that the world outside may have changed beyond recognition. Its ambitions are relatively modest, but the premise gives the experience enough intrigue to appeal to players who enjoy obscure indie horror games built around atmospheric exploration. The story begins after an unidentified bacterial plague spreads rapidly through cities and eventually across countries. Medical facilities attempt to isolate infected patients while researchers search desperately for a cure, but the situation deteriorates when containment measures fail. The protagonist is among those infected and remembers being examined by doctors wearing protective equipment before violence and chaos consume the hospital. After losing consciousness, the character eventually awakens inside the seemingly abandoned facility and discovers something extraordinary: the infection …

Literally unplayable mess. So hard to see, to run and no ending.

[h1] Isolation [/h1] [h3] Positives: [/h3] + Ok premises + Creepy atmosphere + Some acceptable graphics + Some of the sounds and music + The camera with night mode + Somewhat entertaining + Its free [h3] Negatives: [/h3] - A lot of graphical glitches - Unnecessary flashing lights in the menu (epileptics be aware) - Low FOV and no way to adjust it - Head-bob that cant be disabled - Flashlight with horrible battery-life - Forced and unnecessary jumpscares - The run stamina is a big joke - Because of the low stamina you'll listen to heavy breathing (like the worst COPD) throughout the entire game - The run from the "zombie" part near the end is hilarious when you mostly cant run and the zombie is just as slow - The ending is just opening another door to another corridor level (the developer just decided to stop making the game longer or make any sense at all to the ending) - Its all over in 20 minutes (making me wonder how long it was before the "large update", and what the developer is considering as "large") [h3] Conclusion: [/h3] I cant help but be positively surprised over this game. Единственный минус – иногда чрезмерная затянутость и определенные моменты, требующие многократных повторений. Несмотря на это, 'Isolation' – это прекрасный пример того, как нужно делать игры по культовой франшизе. Это адреналиновый кошмар, который заставит вас по-настоящему бояться инопланетянина. Рекомендую всем любителям хорроров и вселенной 'Чужих'!
