Excellent difficulty curve and really what modern shmups should aim to be for the most part. CRT mode looks nice too.
It, is a bit disappointing as a remaster.. Going to stick to the original for now.
It's a staple bullet hell and an admirable successor to classic arcade shooters of the genre
It's incredible
So I finally beat the game. What a pain in the ***. This game isnt bad. The graphics are great. The music is incredible. Boss music reminds me of Predator 1987 and the vibe and quality go back the the RPG hay day on the PS1. The two issues I have with this game. Enemy sprites overlapping enemy fire & all too weak playable ships. Charge shot is your best friend. Bomber is really strong but that requires up close and personal contact. For a game that boarder lines bullet hell, your fire from just about every ship option sucks. The game need more balancing. As I said before the game itself isnt bad, but the task is hella difficult. I wouldnt mind playing this game in a more relaxed pace. Once the game is beaten by the default standards, perhaps the player should be rewarded easy or difficult mode across all maps, so everyone could enjoy the bells and whistles of the game, rather than make it a chore. Not bad a game, but its rough do to weak weapons.
A great shoot em up, does it better than the old classics in my opinion. Though it's a bit short.
