Jumanji is your typical action adventure that is very suitable to play in co-op. There are 7 worlds, a couple of bosses, 4 characters to pick from and some upgrades for them. You can collect Jumanji letters, reach the target score and have one unique challenge in each level. You travel to the next world with a car and you can use fast travel once you reach the regions for the first time. There are checkpoints within a level, they allow you to quit the game and continue later. Those checkpoints are a nice surprise, it’s not something you see often and it’s appreciated. The game can look very colourful and pretty sometimes, especially the water effects. The banter between the characters can be funny, this adds a bit of personality to the game. The voice actors did an excellent job. I enjoyed the levels and the challenges. It really feels like the game punches above its weight at points, there is clearly some passion behind the game. That said, the game has a few bugs, rough combat and too many questionable design decisions. With the combat, while the character movement feels good, the hit detection and stun time (once hit) get in the way of making the combat feel satisfying. It’s …3 found this helpful

Jumanji: Wild Adventures is a brightly colored, family-oriented action-adventure game developed by Cradle Games and published by Outright Games Ltd. that draws its inspiration primarily from the modern Jumanji film adaptations. Rather than focusing on deep narrative complexity or genre reinvention, the game sets out to deliver an accessible, cooperative-friendly experience that captures the adventurous spirit of the franchise. From the moment players are dropped into the dangerous world of Jumanji, the emphasis is on exploration, light combat, and shared fun rather than challenge or systemic depth. The premise revolves around the theft of the Jaguar’s Eye, a powerful artifact essential to maintaining balance in the world of Jumanji. Players take on the roles of four familiar heroes—each representing a different archetype—and set out across hostile environments to recover the jewel and escape the game world. The story unfolds in a straightforward manner, serving primarily as a framework to move players from one biome to the next. While narrative beats are minimal and rarely linger, the setup is effective enough to give purpose to the adventure without slowing down the pacing. Game…3 found this helpful
It's pretty fun as a co-op. Graphics are decent plays well on the steam deck. It's fun playing with the different characters and their weapons. I have only played co-opso far. 1 gripe is that the camera will follow P1 so if playing local co-op if you get to far from your partner it'll port P2 to location of P1 on the screen, even if they are not in a great location. If you're playing local co-op make sure your better platformer player is P1 or this can get frustrating quick.
