JUST DEFENSE

This is almost certainly just a bunch of Unreal Marketplace assets dumped on a basic top down shooter game blueprint with a few turrets thrown in, and rushed quickly off to Google Play because this is a garbage mobile app. It's not a real TD game like Kingdom Rush, it's just wave survival, so it's even shallower than it looks. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's almost certainly made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "JUST DEFENSE". This is a mobile app... it doesn't matter if this was ported to PC before or after the app store release, or even if this didn't even make it to the app stores. This is built for the absolutely lowest of all gaming platforms and must be judged as such...…

The game crashed near the end of round 13, which was disappointing because I was hoping to get as far as a boss fight. However, the short time that I played before it crashed was enjoyable and left me with a lot of questions about how the difficult would scale. https://youtu.be/GPpS_uMGJ1o https://youtu.be/gAe8kiiEWwM Here is what I gathered about the game: you're a dude running around the map trying to survive until the timer counts down the aliens are tying to kill you this is not exactly tower defense but there are similar elements when the timer runs down, all the aliens die and you're left with a pile of money you build towers (missile and poison towers are best) and upgrade them you can also upgrade the player character but I focused on towers I didn't bother shooting too much because the towers were more effective
