Karanos Solitaire is a single-player card game using a traditional deck of cards with an original ruleset, built on grouping cards into best scoring combos. Playtime: 5 minutes per game.

Rules
You can play the game using your own deck of cards following the rules detailed below!
Goal
Your goal is to remove all cards from the game, scoring as many points as possible.
Setup
- Remove all face cards from the deck, leaving only aces and numerals. 40 cards in total.
- Shuffle the deck, then reveal the top 3 cards placing them next to the deck. Like so:
Available Actions
- Move a card from the bot row to the top row, revealing top deck card into the bot row
- When the deck has one card left, flip it over, use it as a bottom row card
- Move a card from the top row to the back of the deck
- Remove top row cards matching a valid combo (listed below) from the game
- Remove a top row card from the game
Combos and Points
When a combo is matched and the cards are removed from the game, you gain the number of points the combo is worth. The following are all possible game combos and their point values:

Additionally, whenever a single card is moved from the top row, your points are reduced by 1.
Furthermore, If all cards are used as a part of a combo, gain additional 11 points.
Victory
The game can be considered won if you score 40 points or more, but no reason to stop there!

It’s okay—I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t recommend it, but it doesn’t blow my mind either. It’s above average for me, scoring 5.6 or 5.7/10. Now, it’s just my opinion, and I can’t emphasize that enough, so please don’t let my review completely deter you away from this game! Personally, it’s a little underwhelming, but given the reasonable price, I can’t be too surprised by what I got. I hope this doesn’t come across as a harsh criticism of the game; I enjoy simplicity, so please accept my apologies if it does... I just felt like it needed some gameplay improvements and less reliance on luck. However, having said that, I believe it’s a very nice thing to have in your library and play on occasion. See what you think!
Well made coffee break game where you play the odds. I don't think the dude is making games anymore unfortunately.
