About Knights
Knights is a free PvP multiplayer game in which players must explore a deadly dungeon while pursuing a given quest.For example, in the Quest for Gems, you must collect three gems and carry them back to your starting point. Sounds simple? The catch is that the dungeon only contains enough gems for one player to win - so you will likely have to fight your opponents and take their stuff!Other quests include racing to the dungeon exit, fighting a duel to the death against the enemy knights, or destroying an ancient Book using a magical Wand.While exploring, you will find various items to aid you. Hammers can smash down wooden obstacles. Axes can be thrown or swung at your opponents. Potions and scrolls will give you temporary powers. But beware, there are also dangers, including deadly traps, bloodthirsty vampire bats, and zombies who exist only to kill living knights!The game is for 2 or more players, and can be played online, on a LAN, or in split screen mode (2 players on the same PC). There's also a single player mode for practice, and a Tutorial to help you get started.

- Dungeon environmental hazards: bottomless pits, switches, pressure plates, locked doors, hidden traps
- Corpses may reanimate as zombies over time

Some History
This game was originally made for the Amiga in 1994 by Kalle Marjola. This Steam version is being released with the original author's permission and contains several enhancements, including online play, higher numbers of players (the original had only two), a deathmatch mode, and Lua scripting support.What Steam players say

I stumbled upon this game back in 2012, long before its Steam release, and I am still fond of it. At the time, it had tiny but devoted community and we spent many years playing weekly games. Although this is not a type of a game to spend dozens of hours every week, it is really nice to launch once in a while, especially if you have found someone to play with, and the "Random Quest" button makes every round feel a bit different :) I especially recommend trying out the Wand of Securing for team deathmatches, and Tome of Gnomes for solo play. P.S. The official forum also had some player-made mods adding new mobs, wands and quest types, thus I hope for the Steam Workshop integration to be implemented eventually, so that they can be brought back.6 found this helpful
Free old but gold top-down game came from Amiga platforms. Reverse engineered and improved a bit in gameplay aspect, adding proper controls, multiplayer locally and through online and playing in different small gamemodes. And ofcourse modding ability + documentations for it on lua. Tutorial as the singeplayer experience may be simple but real fun goes through multiplayer, especially online. Probably one of the smallest in file size game in steam.5 found this helpful
This is very close to the original Amiga game and hours of fun - I play with my son (split screen, with cardboard between us) and he also likes to play all alone.4 found this helpful
This game got a lot of play in my house back in the day. I'm delighted to see it has been revived and updated and am looking forward to getting reacquainted with this old favourite. Highly recommend running through the tutorial to learn the controls and game mechanics whether you're a new player or a returner (it's been 30 years).
