My favorite RTS of all time. Slower pace where clicking fast doesn't matter. Units organized into custom squads that automatically engage the enemy. Straightforward economy. Robust random map generator for skirmish games. Got it to work on Linux after installing two fonts, as directed on ProtonDB.6 found this helpful
Great game if you can get it to run. Is more stable on Linux & Proton (with a font fix applied due to it not existing in this OS by default) than on Windows. For some reason the latter crashes and Linux doesn't seem to. Only downside for the game itself is the annoying tiny unit cap for what you can order around at once. That said it's a classic, all the factions and races are interesting to play. This game would have done so much better if it didn't come out 2 days before Rome Total War changed the rules for strategy games.3 found this helpful

This is a pure nostagia for me, i played this in my childhood and had really vibrant memories from that time. Both its story and gameplay is unique in a way that i have never seen in any other game so far. I bought it and still enjoy playing it once a year or soo. fully finishing the campaign once more. each time figuring out my own rules and restrictions to make the gameplay more challanging. Wish they would make a remake or new kohans game.
