6/10 for 30$ game price gonna have to say no, this game still needs some tweaks around the edges + works on windows 7 + art style + cutscenes + gameplay for the most part - head bonks are what most of your kills are going to be and the hitbox room for error is big - air controls well jumping are pretty sad. once jumped the outcome of where you land can hardly be changed - dash attack sometimes hurts you when attacking enemies it should have killed, yeah that was my last life.... - falling off the map kills you, would be far better if it did 1 damage - single jump for most of the game, you will fall off the map alot - soo many rounded edges that you just slip off the map on, this could be fixed with a double jump - checkpoints are so far apart and they are the only way to revive the other players - check points don't heal - got stuck and had to reload at checkpoint - falling object damaging the player when they really shouldn't have - very few heals in level, and you only have 3 hearts. played this local co-op with a 7 year old that got bored cause every time they die it would be a while before they could come back. i started resetting to checkpoint every time to revive them - sta…6 found this helpful
Crazy jank and feels uninspired. I like difficulty, but difficulty due to these wack ass controls? No thanks. Also why do you feel the need to make cutscenes every second? It's really distracting. They can be skipped though, thank god.2 found this helpful
Outstanding! Plot is dense and it has a lot of cutscenes. Doesn't get boring at all. Challenging but keeps you hooked. I had very few complaints about the gameplay or anything else. There's a couple strange choices that suggest it was aiming big but didn't have the budget and published "as-is" or didn't get edited all the way. Not what I was expecting, but exactly what I wanted, full of interesting surprises. Job well done and with a very humorous, engaging, and creative story. There are four worlds with different pet sidekicks. Each world has about 5 levels. None of the pets are your own winged flying birdie you lost in the beginning...even though you might expect that, don't get excited. However after you beat the game (which is satisfying for a low skill player like myself) there are 3 additional levels that unlock and you can fly around with birdie. I didn't play them, so don't know if anything happens after that... I was already done mentally since I wasn't expecting anymore.1 found this helpful
if i could give it a neutral rating i would but the things i like are a bit outweighed by the things i dont.. for $30 i dont recommend it but if you get it in a bundle or on a steep discount then i could see it being worth it. pros for me- couch co-op, interesting movement is POSSIBLE but not the focus of the game, at least not what i played of it, nice collectathon elements, seemingly secret locations in each level (maybe not all), and it's always nice to see a 3d platformer cons- mediocre voice over (no offense, VO work is very difficult), sometimes the camera gives off the wrong sense of space, like sometimes i'm not positioned where i would expect because i cant tell where i am in relation to the floor or obstacles, sometimes the level design is a bit unclear on the 'proper' path, and the unique pet abilities sometimes get bugged forcing a restart or death to continue.1 found this helpful
GOOD 3D platform game , like SACKBOY
Its a decent platformer. The vivid graphics are beautiful to a fault. The vibrant colors often had me missing valuable collectibles. Hidden collectibles are fine, but a distracting visual environment just gets frustrating. I made it through the first world, and felt like I had had enough... time to move on to a more memorable platformer.
