The story takes place ten years before the first part of this trilogy.
Flora is then fourteen years old.
She and her friends, Freyja and Ramia, discover the city where the inhabitants of the Academy of the Federation of Mages reside.
The young girls learn from Albus the joys of learning the trades that are essential to the smooth running of the walled city.
But on the other side of the continent, a threat is coming their way. The climate changes dramatically. The inhabitants of the city prepare themselves for a growing and confusing threat.

We are Julien (head of the company Futurtech Informatique) and Brigitte (retired school teacher). We live in the Vaucluse and are currently developing an educational innovation. We have created a spelling video game. The first of its kind, "Pago's Forest" allows you to improve your grammatical spelling through the discovery of a "heroic fantasy" type story. The first part of our trilogy "The Forest of Pago: The Dragon's Revenge" is available since August 2019, it focuses on the present tense and subject/verb agreement. The second installment "The Forest of Pago 2: Remembrance of Ice" is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2021, for the past tense of the indicative. A third part will finally deal with other tenses and modes, the future tense and the conditional and subjunctive modes.
This second part of our trilogy will bring significant improvements: the help boxes are more digestible but you will be able to learn more thanks to a new tab, the grammar tab, which can be consulted at any time in the story, as is the case for the lexicon.
You'll also discover a new gameplay system: during battles, characters take turns to face each other and suffer attacks that decrease their life bar.
Thanks to the collected stars, you will have access to an additional gameplay "Adventure Mode" which allows you to control Flora's character to help her in her quests.
You will find emblematic and mythological characters: dragons, golems, mages, dwarfs, chimeras, frost giants and many other fantastic creatures...
In order to meet the needs of our players, we have extended the length of the game: it is with great pleasure that we will offer you more than 30 levels!
We are working hard to make the environments even more impressive and to make this game a world to behold.

LA FORÊT DE PAGO 2 : Souvenir de Glace is an unusual and heartfelt entry in Futurtech’s small but ambitious fantasy series, blending the structure of a light RPG with educational elements centered on spelling, grammar, and vocabulary. Rather than positioning itself as a traditional action-driven adventure, the game embraces a hybrid identity: part narrative-driven fantasy, part learning tool, and part turn-based exploration game set in a world threatened by supernatural forces and climate imbalance. As a prequel to the first title, it steps back ten years to chronicle the early journey of Flora and her companions—young adventurers wandering a magical city inhabited by mages, dwarves, dragons, and fantastical creatures—while a mysterious phenomenon of extreme cold begins reshaping the land. The atmosphere leans into classical European fantasy, but does so with a softness that makes it approachable to younger players and learners. A mesmerizing winter fairy tale in the forest: icy aesthetics, atmospheric locations and challenging challenges. A great choice if you want a beautiful adventure with a touch of cold and mystery!
I really like the concept of the game. And my purchase was sort of risky, as I have already purchased the first part as well, but it crashes after a minute or so for no apparent reason. So, I had no idea, if this game would work. Luckily, it works just fine, so, I'm waiting for a patch for the part 1, so that I could finally see the whole story. And this is why my review is positive. Dear developers, please, fix part one! Thank you very much in advance! UPD: The developers contacted me and offered me a workaround for my laptop configuration: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019775837?product=gog It worked and now I can play the first part as well! They promised me to update the engine in order to avoid crashes in the future. Many thanks!
It is generally better than the previous title, but there are some drawbacks compared to the previous title - for example, the graphics options have all vanished and the game only allows you to choose Low, Medium, High and Ultra settings, without any further options available. There is no way to change resolution. The game is also still in early access, has not received any updates over the past few months and there is some locked content which the game says are not yet available. However, this remains a fun educational title and I would still recommend it (I finished the game).
